Will Luffy accept his new identity ir fight against it once he learns more about the Nika lore?

Luffy is not the type to accept something like this, nor does he seem to care about it all that much. It would be in character for him to reject that mentality since he is a pirate at the end of the day. I am sure this will surprise the giants and others to say the least.
