Speculations Luffy got the Enel "disease"?

So, if we cut out the scenario that Luffy got possesed by Joy Boy, (since this is one piece)
then would that be a possibility that Luffy used some kind of new (awakening) power to restart his heart? You know, something like Enel did after he got hit by reject dial in Skypea.
How would this new power work though?

Are you positing that Gomu can restart the heart or that Joy Boy possessed Luffy and made it restart? Since this is Oda both might just work I guess

My headcanon is the DF is related to space, and Luffy's body stretching is the result of him stretching the space his body is in. Since Shanks said it's Gomu2 (rubber), Luffy's subconscious was tuned into believing that it's rubber.

Its gonna be a cool twist if thats the case. Space DF is of course super powerful. You can literally teleport/warp, increase-decrease-alter any kind of distance/size/form/shape of all things as reality, even entirely erase living beings.

Do you mean something like Moria did with his shadow to Oars making Oars stretch or take whatever shape Moria wanted? But also Luffy able to control the space near him?

I imagine, since Luffy is "suggested" that it's rubber, then Luffy can only stretch his body. But once he finds out that it's actually the space itself that he's stretching, he will go wild and teleport and space-bending and distance-manipulating and reality-warping and stuff
