Stop tripping lads. One Piece will never get dark. In fact this can never be the case as it would leave a plot hole to bring him back to life and take over his own body again.

Joy boy, just like straw hat, are titles... this drum of liberation is the haoshoku emanating in combination with the awekening which results in a new form. Joy boy had this ability, and so does Luffy. Thus why Zunisha says that Joy Boy is here. I posted long ago a theory saying that Luffys awakening would allow him to expand and influence his haki too. Perhaps I was right in some way.


It's incredible how the haki wank has suddenly been switched off and now it's all about devil fruits again lol.

Luffy strives to be the freest man on the world so him being possessed takes that away. Even if Joyboy resides in Luffys body Luffy will overpower him.

perhaps JoyBoy refers to someone who has awakened a certain DevilFruit, the devil fruit name itself being kept a secret.
Luffy is the first person in history after first joyboy to have awakened GomuGomu No Mi, and that means Luffy remains the same person as he was except with awakened GomuGomu No Mi.
That way luffy will have his own will and strawhats following him would at least mean something :risicheck:
5656 no mi's awakened form might actually be able to reshape the world and GrandLine, making the all blue a reality, creating country for fishmen and etc.

My lad did u even read lol.

Joy boy had a form which made people sense a particular energy/haki. This was the result of gomu gomu awakening plus haoshuoku.

Now Luffy is replicating the same, thus why Zunisha senses joyboy

Possession is more far fetched than reincarnation as a scenario I think, that's merely because the former implicates a more super natural step.
