Break Week Luffy recruiting process is bullshit

They do generally have larger crews though.

Straw hats have a manpower 5600 strong, a much larger crew and the main 10 are solid in their own right, some stronger some weaker but not everyone needs to be YC1+

Whole heart pirates + Mink tribe couldn't bring down Jack and his fleet (or at least not Jack)

Luffy gets two guys like jimbei and yamato in same arc, and will have a marines level crew by the end, while other crews recruit fodders, like law or eustass.

His crew is already on par or better then the rocks that had 3 yonkous in their crews

no worries he will recruit Law and Eustas themselves as well so the don't have to recruit anyone :D

Yeah, most of Laws crew are just very capable fodder. Thats really the most I'd be willing to give them. Just slightly more capable than your average fodder.

Same for Kidd's crew for the most part as well. They do have a fire breathing guy and a guy with a pitch fork, but they aren't that strong. Its really just Killer and Kidd who carry.

Well from the way Oda tells the story it shows Kidd and Law being supperior to zoro and sanji etc

Law even stated that the Strawhats are a crew that made miracles.

Straw Hats are an exceptional crew, well Kid and Law are captains of their crews, but you should know how Oda writes the story Zoro could have his own crew and be captain, their are several hints in the manga the suggest so.

I don't think Law and Kid are superior to Zoro.

Luffy's "rivals" were his villains, and they more frankly fell into the villain category as opposed to characters who played the typical enduring rival role.

And yeah, post time skip definitely has some weaker villains like Hody Jones and Caesar Clown, but so did pre time skip.

Luffy's only true rival was introduced way back in Jaya and his name is Marshal D. 'Blackbeard' Teach. It's just... over the years fans overhyped the importance of the Supernova to the nth degree when it was apparent most weren't going to amount to much.

Even strong people will ally with the Nika-Nika fruit user.

Hell even an ancient weapon in Poseidon was meant to be Nika's ally.
