Break Week Luffy vs Kaido had no coherent tone or consistent theme

#22
I was wrong about spoiler. But did Big Mom lost? No she didn't. We didn't saw her unconscious. Kaido probably lost but the fight is not over. Luffy lost a bunch of times but Kaido will lose only one? Nope.
Remember that Luffy can't win Kaido simply by punching harder.
She literally had the narrator box, she lost. Kaido lost a bunch but it’s clearly prior to him becoming a captain, that’s why it’s a big deal to the point where King doesn’t even believe Joyboy will appear.

Also lol at you guys really believing the Oda comments. He was just hyping up Kaido, let it go

Luffy enjoys the challenge but despises the way Kaido handles the country.

Honestly for the 50th time I have to say, for all the people who talk about being a fanboy when you don't cry about the story with them, that it's really nothing remarkable. Oda would come off as a basic writer if it wasn't for so many goofs who can't understand.

Go back and read the Freeza fight from thirty years ago, like adolescent Oda did and clearly understood

Who else had tha narrator box saying he lost? Oh, yes! It was LUFFY!

I didn't understood your second sentence about Kaido, Captain, King, JoyBoy...

If we don't believe in Oda comments in what we will believe? We can't believe his comments, his manga, nothing.

Big Mom lost cause a ring-out is considered a loss
Last time I checked Pirate Battles doesn't have rules. This is not boxing or UFC. By your logic Luffy lost when he left Onigashima. Same thing at Mirror World.

.
1. yeah Luffy lost, that’s literally my point. He came back to life because he’s pirate Jesus. You cannot nor should expect a villain to have the same plot powers as the MC.

2. it’s simple, the flashback makes it clear that Kaido believes Joyboy is the only man who would be able to beat him and King easily dismissed it. That would not make any sense if King was there to witness all of his loses. Meaning Kaido clearly lost all those times before he became a pirate captain. At this point Kaido losing is a big deal, and he will likely not get back up for a second fight, again that is MC things, not villains. When villains get knocked down, 99% of the time they’re out for good.

3. it was him hyping up Kaido off manga. I’m old enough to have gone through a few author comments in other series to know better than to take ‘em seriously. It’s literally just advertising

Luffy did lose when he left Onigashima. He and Kaido had multiple fights
I mean, literally now when he prepare this gigantic punch on Kaido. Before he knock out Kaido he lost because he left Onigashima. So Kaido won and got beat up after that.

Like I said to the other guy, I mean he lost before his last clash with Kaido now. He knocked out Kaido but he already lost because he was out of Onigashima.

Good catch about Kaido losses before he became captain. It could be also because he wanted to go to jail and eat. But sometimes villains got back up after getting knocked out. Doflamingo is one example. Katakuri is another. WSM with Mythological Zoan DF has to be another.

Yeah, Kaido has literally done it already. chapter 1010 and chapter 1046. He was knocked down and got back up like Doffy did. Katakuri literally only got back up to admit defeat.

I don’t get where people get this idea that villains have to mount a comeback, they don’t. Luffy just knocks them down for a chapter until they get back up right away the following chapter.

WTF? Kaido was knocked down not out. He was knocked down even when he one-shotted Luffy and also at chapter 1000. Luffy also knocked down Magellan and got no diffed by him.

Villain don't have to comeback, but neither protagonists. I'm just saying Kaido will comeback because there if much left to be explained. Kaido's backstory rushed is not how Wano will end.

Again, stop projecting Luffy things into villains. You’re reading a shonen, act like you been here before.

Protagonist get to comeback, villains don’t. We could learn more about Kaido but we don’t need him to be there when we literally have his daughter there

Again, Doflamingo and Katakuri already cameback. Monet too. Villains can comeback, there is no rule of villains not coming back. And the most hyped villain will for sure comeback.

Doflamingo did not mount a comeback, Luffy delivered a blow but it was not portrayed as a final blow at all. Re-Read the chapter, it was a typical Luffy sending him flying. Katakuri on the other hand was portrayed as a final blow, and he did get up, but it was to admit defeat

there is no rules for a lot of things but one can easily pick up reading tropes and cliches. It is why I accurately predicted Big Mom losing.

Doflamingo was "stunned" for some moments. This is basically what happened when Apoo knocked out Luffy at beginning of the raid. He was knocked out but cameback quickly.

Again, Big Mom did not lost until we seen her knocked out. She was simply pushed away.
