Definetely, ironically the blue scarf guy actually saved his ass in some way, cause now Kaidou would probably hesitate in finishing Luffy off for good and something will happen to stop Luffy for getting put down for good.
--Luffy was going to run out of g4 and lose haki so yeah and kaido was looking fine and tanked the same attack like nothing ; the CP0 addition adds to kaido's characterization

I agree to me it’s clear luffy was gonna lose but Oda couldn’t have him lose 1v1 cuz then kaido would logically have to follow up and kill him and declare his victory as he said in 1013

If Luffy can't handle one person stepping in he didn't deserve to win. Luffy's allowed all the help in the world, Kaido takes on everyone but the second Luffy has one random step in he can't handle it?
Yes i agree.
Kaido had the upper hand in the entire fight.
Luffy never put kaido in a tight spot as has done to other great villains such as lucci or crocodile before the finishing move.
Luffy was amazing but everything is pointing to his awakening because he would lose that fight, with or without CP0 interference
