Since there are a lot of larping Nika's on Elbaf, its possible the sword belongs to OG Joy Boy......Which means Luffy will use this sword in some arc, and according to certain fans, anybody that holds a sword=swordsman. In other words, Luffy will become WSS confirmed OR Mihawks (and EOS Zoro) title will be confirmed based on skill instead of overall strength.

Roger's primary weapon and style of fighting has been with a sword. Unless luffy keep using his sword as his main fighting style , he won't be one.

Luffy has no need for his fraudulent title, it's just that if Luffy isn't a swordsman after picking the sword up and fighting with it, then neither are Shanks/Roger.
