Luffy and Zoro have both promised Shanks and Kuina to be stronger and to surpass them, They both have a physical representation of their promise( Wado and Straw hat).

After the time skip, Luffy and Zoro both decided to wear waist band/sash in similar fashion.

Wano in its entirety is just Luffy Zoro parallelism. From the moment, they meet they are having similar journies. The meeting with tama, their encounter with Yasuie and Hyogoro, Meeting with Momo and Hiyori ( Oden's son and daughter), Powerups at the same time with Enma and adv coa, parallel training sessions, clashing with Hawkins, Apoo, both getting eaten by Queen, Both making their way upwards to the roof etc etc.
