Powers & Abilities Luffy's awakening will look like super saiyan

So as we all know Oda is a massive DB fan and he doesn't hide his inspiration from Toriyama. In the last chapter we all saw the cliffhanger of Luffy's hair starting to go up. This isn't the first time this happens as it has already happened with G4 Snakeman.

Not only that, but if the resin theory turns out to be true, then Luffy's hair will turn yellow.

Since we can all safely asume, that Nikka/Joyboy was the previous awakened gum-gum user, here is a reminder of how his sillouette looks like. This looks very super saiyan to me. Being called the SUN GOD, it would make sense that his hair is yellow.

What do you guys think?

People are assuming way too much from just 1 ambiguous panel. Was that his hair? or his hat? is the melting substance coming from his body OR its his actual body melting?

I can't say anything here other than to wait for next chapter to see wtf exactly is going on.

His hat was beneath him not on his head, it's his hair that's melting.

I think the "substance" around Luffy will changed its color, not Luffy himself imo.

I think he'll have flaming hair (maybe orange?) like Sun God Nika. Oda has already drawn it in the color spread of chapter 1028.
