weak or not Luffy helps people or atleast most times for two reasons...one is if he finds people/things funny or if someone feeds him food....on serious side, only time he helps is when he considers others as his friends...like momo, he helped momo because he sees him as a friend and he helped tama because of ace and also became she fed him.....
