Introduction
There seems to be a very pervasive opinion in the fandom that Maschenny is working for one of the Family Leaders or Zahard. That her schemes and machinations are at the behest of someone else.
As far as I can tell, there's no solid basis for it in the actual Webtoon.
When I actually review Maschenny's scenes in the Webtoon, all I find is a mountain of evidence against it.
Maschenny's Independence
When she (or others) talks about her machinations schemes and stratagems, it's always her will:
The same is true when others speak of her machinations.
She has only ever been working for her own ends.
Contra Servant Maschenny
I think that the idea that Maschenny has been operating at the Nest in service to one of the Family Leaders is heavily contradicted in the Webtoon.
Jinsung himself says that she is of a different mind and opinion from the Zahard Army and the 10 Great Families, and they all wanted different things:
Maschenny herself further affirms this, saying that they all had their own ulterior motives:
This is pretty strong evidence against the notion that Maschenny is working in alignment with ANY of the Great Warriors. She's not working for Zahard nor is she working for any of the 10 Family Leaders.
She has her own objectives and her own ulterior motives.
This is further reiterated by her subsequent comments.
She mentions that the game became bigger than she expected and that people not even she could handle became actively involved:
She goes on to say that as a result, she kept Jinsung alive and brought him to the Nest. As he was like a breakwater for Baam and an important member of the Ha Family:
Her actions with Jinsung were her countermeasures to the involvement of the Family Leaders.
If Maschenny was working in service to an Irregular:
Conclusions
It seems clear beyond any reasonable doubt that Maschenny is only working towards her own ends. There is not a single iota of evidence that supports the notion that Maschenny is working for someone, and there's a veritable mountain of evidence against it.

- She'd never have commented on the game becoming too big for her when the Irregulars got involved.
- She wouldn't have been one of the players in the game but merely a piece or helper.
- She wouldn't have been so terrified when the Irregulars became actively involved as she would have had (a) suitable backer(s)/supporter(s) .
- She wouldn't have needed to prepare her own countermeasures to an Irregular getting involved as her supporter(s) would have presumably handled it.
Conclusions
