I have zero expectations tbh. MCU has burnt their moves to ground to be many times in recent years. Most of the movies post endgame are meh. Spiderman 3 , GOG 3 were the only good ones.
I'm not fond of Pedro as Reed Richards but I have to admit that this is the most promising MCU movie since Endgame as far as I'm concerned.
Doom is my favorite Marvel villain so I hope they do him justice for once in a movie. It'd be great if they slowly build him up before the Avengers movie and not just jump straight into beating him up.

I'm not sold on Reed's and Doom's castings. The rest seem fine.
Is Norrin Radd not gonna show as the Surfer? I see you've used a different version of the character for Surfer's image in this post. Plus I know American media really loves its race/genderswaps nowadays.
I wish they'd introduced Big G in a more menacing way. Like in that scene with the glowing yellow energy, have him looming threateningly in the middle as a silhouette.
I hope they do him and the Taa II justice. I want him to be an utter cosmic horror, damnit. An unstoppable powerhouse who takes all Reed and Doom's genius to stop, and not just big purple jobber man.
Also I feel like they should've set up Reed and Doom first, then introduced Galactus like the old F4 movies did.
It's a shame they gave the Skrulls to Captain Marvel otherwise we could've had them too.

Doom is a menace, and has the potential to be far better than even Thanos if done right.
Although tbh I actually kind of prefer comics Thanos to the MCU one.
You can joke about him being a literal titanic simp, but sacrificing half the universe just to appease a nihilistic abstract being is way more menacing to me than horribly misunderstanding population control.
But yes, Doom could be great. His origin story, his well-earned arrogance, his design etc could all make for one hell of a villain - either pure evil or even antivillainous if dome right.

For as good as Thanos was in the MCU, people have teared down his "reduce half the population down" plan time and time again since Infinity War ended, and there were some inconsistencies in his portrayal in IW, Endgame, and also in prior movies like Guardians 1. Wanting to impress Death might be more simplistic and fantastic, but there's nothing wrong with that.

I like Robert even if it's a bit odd to recast him into the MCU (or they're turning Victor into a Tony variant or something).
If they deliver a good movie with a good Doom I'd be satisfied but I'm being a bit greedy in not wanting him to be just another Ultron.

I agree about Thanos as well.

It should be awesome. No expenses spared for special effects, make him shake the earth like a kaiju, maybe terraform his surroundings with cosmic power by simply standing there like Aramaki creating forests in Wano.
Also I NEED him and Allfather Thor to have a fight at some point, pls god make it happen.
"It's the end of the world! I'm freaking out! Why aren't you freaking out?"
"Because I can hear it."
"Hear what?"
"Thunder."
Extra points if Thor headbutts him unconscious like Odin once did.
Gorr was...misused in the movie, yes.
The God-Butcher arc was the last good thing Jason Aaron did for Thor IMO, but then he milked the concept dry.
That said, comics Gorr was great. The Three Thors teaming up in the comics was peak, especially with Ribic's art. Sadly they did not pull it off in L&T.
Oh yeah, Downey might work very well for Doom tbh, I just thought of Bale because I felt he might pull off Victor's personality without being overly associated with Iron Man.
Which I guess is my main worry when it comes to Downey Doom, that they might make him too similar to Tony on a surface level.
Then again there's a lot of potential for Doom as a "dark mirror" to Tony if done competently... if I recall Doom briefly took over as IM in the comics once, did he not?
