Speculations Meta Question: If Shanks kept his arm and continued to be Mihawks rival until now, what would the consequences of that be?

From what we can tell, both Shanks and Mihawk more or less spent the last decade or so of their careers on standby, waiting for something to happen. Shanks was waiting for Joyboy in the form of Luffy, while Mihawk seemingly waited for a worthy opponent. Shanks has Luffy, and Mihawk very recently got Zoro as a hope for the future.
Both are truly passive characters in their respective roles in that they are goals for the main characters we follow in the story to surpass. Well, what if both took a way more active role?

What if Mihawk and Shanks rivalry never ended and they continuously battled each other across the New World and Paradise?

Would Mihawk have even met Zoro or been busy in the New World fighting Shanks at the time?

What would their bounties be?

Would Shanks have a black blade?

Would Shanks have become Pirate King already?

Would Shanks have gotten scared by Blackbeard?

Would Mihawk have become a warlord?

If he does, would Marineford still happen, and what effect would Mihawk's decision to fight Shanks here have?

Would the Warlords even be disbanded if Mihawk clearly showed that he alone somewhat justified the position if he could clash equally with a Yonko?

Would Crossguild still form?

If it does get formed, would Buggy be upscaled even further by proxy of a stronger Shanks and Mihawk?

I'm really curious to hear what people think!

Technically he became a Yonko after losing the arm and a recent flashback with Buggy suggests he wasnt aiming for it for years

Yeah tho I do think if he did drive for it from the jump he could’ve done it tho.
Lowkey I do think there’s a chance we get to see how strong shanks with 2 arms is tho. Luffy and Blackbeard are still growing stronger so I think the best way for shanks to power up is gaining his arm back in some type of way. That way e doesn’t fall behind them

I could see that happening, not gonna lie. If Oda wants to twist mythology a little, having Elbaf have the Apples of Idun that heal a person to the extent that they restore limbs, he could totally do that.

I could see that happening, not gonna lie. If Oda wants to twist mythology a little, having Elbaf have the Apples of Idun that heal a person to the extent that they restore limbs, he could totally do that.

Losing an arm did decrease shanks' strength and potential as much as losing an eye did for zoro. Zero. It's a manga after all.
But yeah, they'd have kept fighting with mihawk, blooming their haki even to higher levels. And yes, mihawk would still become WSS.

Nothing would change.

Shanks just became a yonko because he focused his trainning on one single arm. Having two arms would make both his arms to be weaker and his haki to be weaker too because he would be divided on two arms.

This is exacly how people who can't move their lower body but ends up having a overdeveloped upper body.
