I believe Shanks went to tottoland and got beaten by Linlin or fought katakuri to stalemate

Mihawk might have went to Tottoland too in the past,
Probably fought Cracker or so
Or he was just busy fighting Navy
I don't think he really spent time in NW fighting

Yeah of course Shanks who was implied to already know shit like Divine Departure by then lost to a younger Katakuri of all people
And Mihawk had trouble with Cracker who got neg diffed by Kuzan's right hand

Mihawk was already famous before Roger's execution. He likely went to the new world looking for strong challengers, faced the swordsman he could find, was betrayed around that time, found Shanks & dulled him, achieved his dream some time and decided to settle down somewhere while joining the Shichibukai to roam freely.
