General & Others Mihawk's generation is the losers generation?
You mean Generation of Greatest Swordsman Mihawk? Yonko & Greatest Captain Shanks? Most Wanted Criminal Dragon? ... etc

But i legit believe
Shanks > Roger
Mihawk > Whitebeard
Kaidou > Big Mom
Beckman > Rayleigh
Dragon > Xebec
Old Era are truly Legendary, but Middle Gen are simply the ones New Gen need to Surpass
If Roger was stronger than Shanks, there would be no need to add a Scene showing Luffy declaring he will surpass Shanks
He would have just said: "I will become Pirate King". The Scene clearly indicates that Luffy won't consider himself truly a Pirate King unless he also surpasses Shanks. (Or in other words, becoming Pirate King without having surpassed Shanks first doesn't' feel satisfying)
And please don't use the word "Yonko", cuz Jinbe said "I'm with Pirate King so mere Yonko doesn't scare me"
You think Luffy would use the word "Mere" with Shanks?
What i'm trying to say is that Shanks is indeed a Yonko, but it doesn't mean that's his ceiling
Kaidou literally grouped him with those Five when Luffy punched him even though the guy is a Yonko just like him
I'm not saying those Five are Equals, but it shows that for Kaidou, Shanks isn't just a Yonko, he deserves Respect even beyond that Title
And you think Oda made Blackbeard have 2 DFs, Big Mom born as Superman & Kaidou Unkillable but Shanks not gonna have something beyond Human Limits like other Three? Shanks clearly have Haki Level beyond the définition of Haki, he is a Freak of Nature just like other Three, & since Haki is Strongest Power, Shanks is clearly Strongest Yonko
I can write a similar Paragraph about Mihawk, Kaidou, Beckman & Dragon. What's the point of New Gen Surpassing these Guys if they are weaker than Old Gen whom they are never gonna get a chance to meet or face?
For me, no one have Better Haki (In general) than Shanks, no one can Fight better than Mihawk, no one is a Superior Creature than Kaidou & no one can unleash more Power than Dragon (I believe he has Uranus, but you can ignore this if u want). And following this pattern, i'm sure Beckman gonna be Smartest Fighter we have ever seen.
But Luffy gonna Surpass Shanks, Zoro gonna surpass Mihawk, Momo gonna surpass Kaidou & Blackbeard gonna surpass Dragon.

How are we going to define generation? By age? By period of activity? Is Roger to Kaido's age gap greater than Kaido's to Mihawk, where is Kaido framed? Anyway.

I already commented here that when Roger became the Pirate King things were easier, nobody knew there was a last island, there was no dispute for One Piece etc. Today things are more intense, to become the Pirate King you have to defeat the other Yonko. Shanks has already been compared to Roger on his vivre card and I can say without a doubt that he would be able to become the Pirate King if he were in the situation that Roger was in.
