It was a question. And Japanese have some very similar words in English. People knowing a word or two doesn't make them know how to speak that language.
And given the post oda is at , an author..... An author might not be fluent in languages , but they can definitely understand it to some extent. He's been communicating with audience for 20+ years.

I can totally understand Other language in my country, and even communicate but I'm fluent in it. There's a difference.
