Technically, even if he's learned sage mode to a certain degree, he says himself that he's very bad at it, to the point that he's never used it in combat (even kakashi says he's very bad), so I don't think we can really talk about a power he has for himself, if even he or kakashi say he's very bad.
(against madara he uses it for a few seconds for the first time in his life in a fight and it's not effective)
Then for the jinchuriki side, we don't know if Minato alive could have been jinshuriki, I think the fact that he's in edo tensei with a dead body makes the task much easier, whereas with a living body it's very likely to be much too heavy and exhausting as he shows in the manga just after taking half of kyubi with his living body
In other words, there's a good chance that minato simply couldn't have been a jinshuriki of half kyubi with his living body, whereas naruto has no problem with his half uzumaki body.
