It is not Damned Punk. Damned Punk is powerful enough to rip through multiple ships at once. This supposed explosion wasn't even enough to damage one ship or hurt the nearby fodders on said ships.

You can't even prove Shanks attack did 80% damage on its own...you'll have to erase the railgun explosion

Idk why no one is bringing this up. (Maybe someone already made a thread about this, if someone did lmk so I can delete). But people do realize that Kidd was not only hit by “Divine Departure” but he was also hit by his own Damned Punk (which is his ultimate attack) right?

It is clear from these panels that Kidd has loaded/charged up his beam in his railgun, but then is caught off guard by Shanks. He then not only takes the damage from Shanks attack but the brunt of the damage from his Damned Punk exploding in his face. (You can see an explosion happen on the 3rd panel I posted).

Looks like everyone was too busy shitting on Kidd to realize that he took not only a serious named attack from an angry Shank, but also his own ultimate attack at the same time.

Let’s please stop reading with agendas. Be better. Shanks did not really “one shot” Kidd

Kid ether got hit from the Shot ,or the Damned Punk weapon exploding on Shanks attack making impact.
There is also the option of Shanks knowing Kids weapons would explode ,cause of his futuresight and he used that to his advantage.

Cause Shanks clearly had the intend of taking Kid down for good ,Shanks even said before his man should not underestimate Kid in any way .
That implies Shanks wasn‘t holding back against Kid.

Yeah, I'm sure the biggest wanker of Shanks, who went out of his way to hype the guy would undermine that hype by having a weak arse explosion that couldn't kill most Pre-TS fighting characters be partially responsible for Kidd's demise.

It wasn’t a sneak attack. I ain’t going that far lol. Kidd was definitely caught off guard, but that doesn’t mean Shanks “sneak attacked” him. Partly is Kidds fault, but you gotta realize he was completely focused on the fleet in front of him and then a second later Shanks is in his face. Of course he’ll be surprised which is why he says “Red Hair?!” In shock.

Not to mention that Shanks is said to be able to kill his opponents observation haki so there’s that too
