Questions & Mysteries Moon in One Piece: good or evil?

#1
Since Nika was introduced as Luffy's actual devil fruit we've been hearing about this supposed "Moon God" as an entity directly antagonistic to the "Sun God".

But is moon in One Piece portrayed as good or as evil? I will leave some arguments for people to discuss both perspectives; If I left any point feel free to add it.

MOON AS GOOD:

1) When Luffy awakened his devil fruit he jumped in front of the moon.

2) Every good Wano clan has the word "moon" in its name (Shimotsuki and Kozuki being the prime examples), and Wano's rebels were identified by a moon in their ankle.

3) The minks, who are an allied force, become their strongest self thanks to the moon.

4) The winged people came from the moon according to Enel's cover story, sharing a strong connection with it (Fairy Vearth, a place of dreams, being where Enel wanted to travel back to, and the original Birka was a city in the moon).

5) Following the former, the moon city of Birka seemingly is a place with very advanced technology akin to that of the Great Kingdom that people like Vegapunk and Tsukimi (his automata) wanted to replicate.

6) One Piece hasn't necessarily depicted the contrast sun/moon as opposites; for example, Beckman is said to be the moon to Shanks' sun and a discarded color spread seemingly showed Luffy and Zoro as sun and moon.

7) "Lunarian" pretty much means "moon people" yet they were executed by the World Government, putting them in the "good side" of the historical conflict.

MOON AS EVIL:

1) The Tenryuubito are clearly based on the moon people from The adventures of Baron Munchausen and they look like astronauts.

2) Garling seemingly has a moon motif according to his design.

3) Blackbeard was seen as a kid crying under the moon.

4) Kuro would go savagely murderous whenever under crescent moon.

5) Every Elder is celestial body-themed, with Imu possibly representing moon (which could be potentially tied to the legend of Kaguya).

So thoughts, opinions? Is moon a good entity, an evil entity, or maybe whatever happened during the Void Century was related to this very conflict?

I think what you wrote in the end might be right. Moon was probably the place where "life as we know it" started in the One Piece world, where the first "humanoid creatures" appeared,so people in the OP world all descent from the Moon somehow. But,there was probably a conflict between two sides, one good and one evil.

I think it’s a mistake to label any of the celestial bodies good or evil, all of them have the potential for both. If we look at the Ancient weapons they are feared for their destructive potential, but then Shirahoshi used her power to save Luffy and the Noah. I think none of the Celestial god powers are inherently evil but most of them are owned by evil men working for IMU.
