Character Discussion Most Disappointing Character

#25
Zoro- the character itself was butchered to make powerlevel retards happy. I actually miss his interactions with Nami (as a example) and some of the jokes that he had. He went to one of my favorite characters to one of the worst, specially because hs fights are boring to me.

Kaido- He started strong and ended up just as a raid boss with no personality. Nothing about him made sense after the raid started.

Yamato- Character created to sell merch and bait retards. Stole the background of better characters to make a schizoid. Another waste of space.

1. Most of the 11 supernovas I guess, but mostly just Basil Hawkins, Apoo and Kidd. I never cared about Kidd or Law personally (their designs and abilities were boring to me), but I always wanted to see more of Hawkins and Apoo since their abilities were cool and wacky and I loved their designs. Seeing how they turned out was a major bummer. I also really hope Urouge's story doesn't end with him licking his wounds on a cloud island.

2. Big Mom's children. Outside of Katakuri and 4 others, they all just felt like unnecessary filler who really didn't contribute much of anything to the plot, and despite the claim about Big Mom wanting to have children of every race, the majority of them are just humans with have little bumps or minor accessories that don't really make them stand out as unique or interesting to look at. Many didn't have cool abilities. You also have this cool pumpkin guy have a neat little face off with Pedro and it never amounts too much, and you never even learned to what happened with Pedro's soul piece. Big Mom herself was such a letdown too.

3: Hody Jones was very lackluster to me and his motives and goals felt pathetically one dimensional. The Fishman Island arc really needed more fleshed out villains.

4: Kaido and Yamato. Not much I can say that hasn't already been said.

I have a similar take on Wano's stupidly big roster of unnecessary and forgettable characters like the Oniwabanshu and almost everyone else outside of Momo and Kinemon. The difference is that I actually cared about seeing more from the first two groups I mentioned while with Wano I just got sick of them and really wanted them to just disappear after more kept popping up, which they kind of did.

Character/backstory vise, Kaido for sure.

Generally speaking, most of the side characters in Wano were complete disappointment. Hawkins, Big Mom, Yakuza bosses, Oniwabanshu, samurai etc were all trash. Hawkins especially, dude has one of the most interesting abilities in the series, and pre TS had one of the highest bounties (3rd or 4th highest amongst supernova IIRC).........only to get offscreened by injured Law, and then low diff'd by Killer (aside from the hostage situation it was low diff).
Even most of the scabbards were wasted, after hyping them up so much. Yeah, they did some stuff on Kaido. But Oda could've had them deal with the Tobiroppo? Instead of wasting Page One and Ulti on BM for no reason, have Franky/Robin be unexplainably powerful enough to take on Sasaki/Black-Maria. What did Kyoshiro even really do to stand out, after being the most hyped Scabbard with an actual decent backstory in the arc?

I got another one. Kaku and the CP9 were another big letdown. I would've thought that he and at least a few of the CP9 would've become something more and have their own little arc facing off against Spandam and his dad down the line but that never happened. I was really hoping that CP9 or at least some of them would've done what Baroque Works did and turned over a new leaf by becoming bounty hunters or something since the series really needs more of those. Kaku was the one guy I really hoped would give up the assassin biz and become a shipwright somewhere. Instead they all became goverment lap dogs again with even less humanity.

That's another one for the books.
