The point is clearly that Sanji is willing to use the raid suit for his own needs, also Sanji is the one that started the peeping incident in Alabasta so bringing that up isn't exactly a helpful defense.

You make it sound like Zeff was some awful thing he picked up from the streets or that he was very eager to get married to Pudding or that he even sold out Luffy and company's secrets to an enemy yonko.
