A common trend I've noticed with many One Piece movies. A lot of them have characters from the Roger era as villains. You had Shiki, Zephyr, and Bullet, all of whom were supposedly from the Roger era(albeit only Shiki is canon).

Given how we've had a Roger era Marine, Zephyr, and a Roger era Great Pirate, Shiki, I feel like it would make a lot of sense if we had a Roger era shichibukai as a future movie villain.


One thing that I think would be really cool if Oda did was if he decided to make a call back to this panel, where we first see silhouettes of the shichibukai. As we know, all of those silhouettes, bar the one for Mihawk, is horribly inaccurate. Oda definitely changed his mind on what he wanted the shichibukai to be. However, perhaps Oda could recycle his original shichibukai designs as being the designs of shcihibukai from the Roger era, and have these characters appear in a future one piece film.

According to a SBS croco joined warlords in his mid 20s and now he is 46.
It's not far fetched to theorise that there was a shichibukai system also during Roger's era

O: Yes. I'm quite impressed you found this one~. As you've pointed out, if you look really closely, you can find Crocodile there.

This was from the time when Law was 10 and Doflamingo was 25; 16 years ago from now. Crocodile was 30 at the time.

Similar to Luffy, back when he was young, Crocodile's name spread across the seas with incredible momentum, but soon after he was admitted into the Shichibukai in his mid-20's, he tried to fight Whitebeard and was completely and utterly crushed by him.

Though he seemingly calmed down at this point, his eyes became set on the kingdom of Alabasta, and it happened to be precisely during this time period that he was being featured in the papers as a hero who hunted down pirates. In other words, that was an article reporting the acts of heroism by Crocodile at the time

Shichibukai System was Created to help Marines stop Rise of Piracy during their Golden Age
So the whole point is that it was needed "After" Roger's Execution

Also those Silhouettes were Not-Accurate on Purpose, He simply drew Seven Mihawk's, He didn't even drew them of different sizes
Yosaku literally mentioned Jinbe in same Chapter, and yet his Shadow wasn't there, so don't think about it too much

What others said. Plus given the timing, I bet the Schichibukai system was born exactly two Reveries ago.

Still wouldn't mind a film for this era. See if the original warlords could fight the YCs or if the Colour trio did that.

I think that Yonko system only happened after Rogers Era and therefore Shichibukai System as well since it is a directly response to Yonko system.

To be fair, the old version of Roger probably shows what people thought about him, as the greatest menace to both the world government and society. When in reality he's probably just a chill guy that wants to explore as he sees fit 10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254 .

Not defending the redesign, but here's my two cents.

Please no more shitty movies.

One piece has had like 20 of them and like 6 have been good. The first 4 , strong world and Z. After Uta which was so bad I didn't even rewatch once a good version of it came out.

Well, the Warlord system was created after Roger.

But we can have a system similar that started the warlords and why did they use pirates
