We just automatically think it's weird when the mouth isn't open when talking. I think it just depends on people's opinions. The artists that make the characters talk with their mouths closed probably want their characters to look cool and posy no matter what, in my opinion. Probably. "As long as we get it, I don't care if it's sloppy", "If it's incomprehensible, then there's no point in drawing it"; These are the thoughts the mangakas put towards their "art". All artists have their own styles."

But no, Kidd only said, "It doesn't feel like our attacks are doing anything!!"

And then if you look closely, there's a small bubble cloud come from Zoro's mouth. "Huff, huff!"

Luffy huffed without a little cloud beside him and drake has a little cloud for panting but without saying huff in his speech try again

and you talk about the speech bubble beside the one above Kid while you have Luffy passing in the middle

Just stop. It's Zoro who is the one who is talking. Manga reads from right to left. Not left to right. The speech bubble being closets to him, while reading from right to left indicates he's the one speaking, not Kid, who has his own separate speech bubble that is clearly pointing to him. Your Oden comparison means nothing, because Oden is on the right next to the first speech bubble.

Given that Zoro obviously attacked them multiple times offscreen, judging by his further down comment and his injured state. I'd say his current self has a hard time cutting Hybrid Kaido properly, not saying he wont as the fight progresses but its just the correct conclusion to come to imo.
