Aside from Thriller Bark where Zoro is the obvious first option, I think most of his choices are OK though

I got issues with those. I can see why he pick some of them depending on how he grade each arc in terms of the things i've mentioned.

I didn't say that I agree with all of them but I think they can be justified in some way.

Alvida Ship: Fodders that bring Luffy from water.

Morgan's "Arc": Zoro of course.

Orange Town: Nami, otherwise Luffy would have died to Buggy.

Syrup Village: Usopp that faced Michael Jackson, otherwise he would keep hypnotizing Luffy(maybe Zoro?) and would win.

Baratie: Gin, after Luffy's final blow he was drowing at Water. Sanji jumped to save him while Krieg uncounscious was willing to fight some more. Gin choose to not chase Sanji but beat his own captain. Otherwise Luffy would have died and Krieg would be the victorious.

Arlong Park: Those 2 "randoms" that got beat by Fishmen and stopped civillians to face them until Mugiwaras made their walk entrace.

Longuetown: Dragon. No explanation required.

Whiskey Peak: Nami, if wasn't for her Zoro would have killed Luffy and Mugiwaras would no longer exist. Zoro would follow Mihawk's path travelling alone and facing strong people/swordsmen he found.

Drum Island: Nami. If she didn't had got sick they would have never met Chopper.

Alabasta: Zoro. No one of the Strawhats even Luffy would have handled Daz Bones. Zoro learned haki to beat him he could have learned to beat Crocodile too or just used blood as Luffy.

Jaya Island: Zoro. If Zoro wasn't that much loyal to Luffy he would have killed Bellamy, people would recognize him and Luffy and their new bounties that would call BB's attention and would have been game over for them. Not even Zoro would survive BB at that time.

Skypea: Sanji for sure. The first time Oda used "Guts" haki when Sanji took Enel's "El Thor". Epic scene and speech of Sanji.

Davy Back Fight: That main villain that did all that shit, he is funny at least.

Water 7: Usopp for sure. Losing all their money turned out to be good for them because Franky bought that special wood that became Sunny.

Enies Lobby: Merry. No discussion here. Sanji was great. Usopp was great. Franky was great. But Merry was the true savior. Although I found pretty stupid crying for a boat. And all that funeral etc. Oda pushed too much that non-senseto be (so far) an one time only(just like I though Ashura would be).

Thriller Bark: Zoro. Can't say otherwise. Imagine Thriller Bark being KnY Mugen Train movie. Moria was the "main" Demon kind of easily defeated. Kuma was the surprise 3rd Upper Moon and Zoro fought him as a Hashira. Turns out to no defeat but saved everybody.

Sabaody: This is tricky. People most likely will say Rayleigh I think(he saved Camie). But Kuma is the real reason they are surviving(also the reason why they were in such a big danger). Still tricky because Kizaru should hunt every pirate not only Strawhat and Rayleigh was helping only them. Eitheir way every Supernova managed to escape but only Strawhats need to be saved.

Amazon Lily: That first woman who found Luffy. She was the reason why Luffy used CoC full potential for the first time(he had used the fear version before, just like Zoro did with Monet).

Impel Down: Mr. 2. Not need of explanation.

Marineford: Shanks. Explanation not required.

Fishmen Island: Jinbei. He came up with a plan to make Luffy look good at the eyes of Fishmen.

Punk Hazard: Aokiji. Who knows what the hell Doffy would have done to those kids if he wasn't stopped by Aokiji?

Dressrosa: Go D Usopp. No explanation needed.

Zou: Momonosuke. Even though Zunesha crushed Jack he is the one allowing Zunesha to do so.

WCI: Jinbei. Holy shit. Jinbei did everything and more this arc. If anything good can be said about this arc was Jinbei. Everything he did/said was great.

Wano: Tricky. Very tricky. Many betrayals. I will have to say... I can do it... is difficult... Big Meme. I usually just say Big Mom, but Big Meme is the real savior of this arc. Imagine if she didn't show up at Udon. Queen wouldn't allow Luffy to train as he wanted. Kaido himself is not great villain(BM too) so is like, 2 half villains becomes one.
