Jujutsu Kaisen is the #1 manga in the JUMPwirhout a doubt for me.

Both series tackle serious stuff and irl comparisons but Jujutsu Kaisen does it better in my opinion.

My Hero is super child friendly for a good chunk of the story which lowkey always pushed me away.

Jujutsu Kaisen is more serious for me and with a better story.

I don't like vestiges plot in MHA.

All Might wqs basically a Superman with only enhancement quirk while you know how this goes with Deku.

Stakes in MHA are really low. Hori thought that killing few irrelevant never heard of heroes or midnight is enough to create tension.

All Might should've died earlier if Hori was planning to kill him. If All Might dies now just for deku to have rage moment it's just lame.

Judging from the poll, this is probably an unpopular opinion but I like MHA better.

Thing is MHA has been going downhill for a while meanwhile JJK just finished it’s best arc
But still, even if MHA had more lows (I mean it’s a longer series) than JJK, the highs are also higher.

Like my Villain Academia is better than any JJK arc by far.

Overall, I like the MHA cast better too. Yeah, ik, what about the shit mc or the bland class A background characters that gets too much focus some episodes? I agree, those characters are trash.

But the good ones like the League of Villains, pro Heroes, some of the students, there’s a lot more characters that I like in MHA than I do in JJK

As long as MHA doesn’t get worse, I like MHA better

Spoilers below

I prefer MHA. It does the Overpowered teacher trope much better than JJK. The antagonists are better with more grounded motivation and goals, there’s also a good variety of side characters who get their fifteen seconds of fame every few arcs.

MHA definitely has issues though. All of the students can be stuffed. AFO taking over Shigaraki’s body, etc. but anytime the series focuses on the adults or the villains it shines.

Whereas I think JJK has only two good arcs. One of them being a prequel series by technicality. Geta was a good antagonist but it turns out our current Geta is an imposter, so wash away all that development. Sukuna’s fine but I can’t muster much care for the protagonists lol. There’s a few cool side characters but it’s pretty middling besides them.

Haha I will continue the trend but I think MHA is superior for now.

JJK is far from being finished and only begins to increase its stakes but for now MHA is better.

Deku is not the best MC around (not the worst too) but the villains in MHA are better, and overall i like MHA characters more than JJK ones. The world building is better. JJK is too rushed and doesn't take its time to lay down things. And MHA societies topic are better than curse vs sorcerer or sorcerer vs humans. Only the young Gojo flashback scratched that but it's not enough.

Maybe JJK will be better in the end but for now MHA takes this.

Jujutsu does a much better job in my opinion, both series know how to work tension. But Jujutsu has a more interesting way of telling the story, characters and mysteries that attach you to the storyline and very creative skills that make the battles very exciting.
