G5 is actually refreshing as Oda intended, in the world of shounen where a lot of mc powerups have this edgy, demon aura shit. Its introduction was to showcase how weird the power can get. I agree that it went overboard and lowered my enjoyment out of the Kaido fight though. People will get used to it though, and there will still be serious moments when Goofy finally has full mastery over it.
