Wano has been structured in acts as we all know, with us currently being in act III I have done a little research into the structure of Kabuki plays and these are my predictions for how it probably will play out.

Kabuki plays almost always consisted of 5 acts. Which are structured in a specific way:

Act I - The Jo, is the slow paced act in which characters and story are always introduced, act I of Wano was 15 chapters long and went from chapter 909 to 924.

Act II, III and III - The Ha, these 3 acts speed up the action and lead up to a great dramatic moment or tragedy in act III, and battles were very common in act 2 and 4. Act II of Wano was 30 chapters long running from chapter 925 to 955.

If Oda is using a certain pattern in terms of how long the acts are, then it's most likely that act III will end very soon and transition into act IV. What would this mean for the story though? Well, seeing as act 3 often has a great moment of tragedy, I think we could grant the moment that Luffy's defeat was announced to deter everyone from fighting was where this moment took place. We've seen Momonosuke give everyone hope after this, and thus it's most likely that Momonosuke has set the stage for the big battles that are to come in act IV. If this prediction were to be accurate, then it would mean that people can stop worrying about off-screen battles, since act IV will almost be guaranteed to cover them and give everyone dedicated chapters to their own battles in Onigashima.

But there's also characters that aren't well fleshed out. Just look at Kaido for example. We know almost nothing about his past, compared to emperors like Shanks and Big mom. The same goes for Who's Who and King. People seem to be worried that they won't get their shine, but I believe Oda has already put everything in it's place to give them their shine when the time comes.
Examples:
- Oda already had Who's Who mention that he knew Jinbei, which means we'll definitly get to hear more about that in the future of this arc.
- We know King is a race we haven't seen before. The most evidence we have towards what he might be is that the horns on the sides of his head have grown between the Oden flashbacks and now. We will most likely get more info on this in the future, although I must admit this is the least indicative one out of the three.
- Kaido is literally an important villain, not only that but he'll be facing Yamato right now, which most likely means backstory. Not to speak that Oda has to let us know about why Kaido knows about Joyboy and such.

Now in terms of Luffy beating Kaido, which is still something that will happen, but seems mostly impossible right now. We already heard Oda say in the past that Luffy will not simply beat Kaido with a normal attack. (idk what the source was but am sure I've seen this) If we were to speculate based on this I could only make it guess work, but one thing that we should have noticed is how Luffy has never combined his conquerer's haki coating with gear fourth. This could be super strong since gear fourth landed many hits on Kaido in the rooftop battle, not to speak about the fact that this new type of coating could be enough incent for Luffy to think up a gear fifth while making his way back to Kaido.

Lastly, I haven't spoken about act V yet, This act is called the Kyu, and simply concludes the story in a satisfying way. Now this part probably won't be super important battle wise. But we all know that this conclusion will definitly contain Momonosuke fulfilling whatever role he has to play according to Oden's notebook. Not only that, but Wano will be freed from it's 20 year long night and finally reach dawn. And of course it will have the all time favorite straw hat banquet to celebrate victory!

Thanks for reading everything, my predictions might be completely false but it was a lot of fun theorizing :)

One Piece is still on act 1. When is Oda putting One Piece at act 2? How many chapters will be?
