Please don't be harsh on me for I totally realise that I am out of my mind with this one. Just enjoy reading the story I am building in a break week.
The main part of Yonkou saga began with WCI but we never got a full closure of that (i.e. the primay antagonist was not fully defeated, which is somewhat unusual). However, WCI also served as the buildup for the Wano arc. While the main antagonist of WCI was carried over to Wano, strawhats also got some powerups to be really able to face Yonkous. Luffy got future sight, Sanji got raid suit and Nami got Zeus.
Now WCI was built up to be Sanji's arc and Wano is built up to be Zoro's arc (at least by fans, if not by the author). However, we don't see either Zoro or Sanji defeating the main antagonists of either arc (at least from whatver we know so far in Wano).
But, but, but, what if, (a huge ifffffffffffffff......) it was always meant to be that the "wings of the pirate king" will really defeat the primary antagonists of the arc that are heavily focused on them but only at an appropriate time.
How can this be possible? Isn't Luffy fighting Kaido and Kid and Law are fighting big mom? But what if (again a huge iffffffffffffffff......,) the raid fails partially. By partial failure I mean Luffy, Law, and Kid are defeated again.
I can imagine the situation unfolding something like this: Luffy is fighting Kaido and this time he has a slight upper edge. However, Kid and Law (they dont have advanced conqueror's) are defeated by Big Mom. Big Mom arrives back on roof top. Luffy had knocked out Kaido temporarily but he now has to fight Big Mom. While he fights Big Mom with whaever strength he has left Kaido is revived again. Luffy is knocked out by Big Mom and Kaido (both heavily damaged but still standing)
After this, the two strongest straw hats standing will only be Zoro and Sanji, "THE STARS OF THE SHOW"
(some people will try to bring in Jinbei here, don't do that, he is not the "wings")
So now guys, Zoro will face Kaidou and Sanji will unwillingly have to face Big Mom.
ZKK will happen, Zoro can do it, there is no doubt about it. He is built different.
The real problem is with Sanji, he will not fight a woman. Plus he has no conqueror's haki so far. But he has to, there is no othr option. The issue of conqueror's haki can be solved by showing hints of him having it while fighting Queen.
But what about him not attacking a woman? I propose two options:
1. First one is simpler yet more crude, he will lose emotions due to extended use of raid suit and forget what he is not supposed to do.
2. He will turn into some form of Okama. Either through a split persona, or "fusing with a feminine mythical fiery bird that will not obey his orders"
Thus, my dear friends, our two primary protagonists (minus Luffy, he is primary every arc) of two arcs will have defeated, two primary antagonists of those arcs.
Thanks for reading, hope the story (that may never happen) was interesting.
