This is just what i think ok, in china there was this warrior called lubu who has this horse called red hare..

it was said that this red horse can travel 1000 miles in one day. What if Oda use lubu and his horse for luffy? red hair shanks and red hare is not a councidence? Lubu would be Luffy and Shanks would be the red hare, that made lubu a truly invincible… It was said that lubu was a great warrior the greatest ever there is during those times.. with this horse he was invincible, he was wearing sun wukong’s outfit too wikipedia and historical records about lubu says that he was betrayal, a fool and preety much all the negativity but what if its not? What if lubu was the oposites of all this he was a freeman, and he doesnt care what everyone thinks of him kinda like a pirate? And thats what made him a legendary during those days because back then writings are rare and easy to decieve people and preety about this historical fights were not recorded correctly they either got stolen, burned,changed or still hidden to this days..

in a novel thjs was said

looks like shanks been doing this whole time

Yes i can clearly see a reference or shanks being based on this horse or its story, but i dont think he will have a devil fruit realted to it tbh, a horse is just kinda to lame for the hype shanks got and from this story i cant tell any special powers he would get from this fruit other than fast traveling which would make sense why they were so fast at marineford but idk how he could use this power on his ship and the rest of the crew

Well it's not a horse but...Mythical Zoan Sphinx, the guardian which gives riddles (tests?) the daring adventurer (Luffy?). Is the theme close enough?







Certainly it's a majestic creature, and Oda can give this kinda beast any kind of absurd power like partial space-manipulation or time-manipulation, which is why Shanks know things ahead of its time (not the time for Ace vs BB), and also can do stuff that is absurd time-wise (its just a few days since his skirmishes with Kaidou, but he's already here at Marineford?) Etc

well yes that would fit way better than a horse, lookwise its just more badass and fitting for a Yonkou
