So the excuses that ''Yamato didn't use DF vs Ace'' completely baseless.

First of all, the fight was mostly offpaneled:






So its not clear if she used transformation or not.

Otherwise it can also be said that Ace was not using his Logia vs Yamato:



So there is no clue Yamato didn't use her transformation, for example she randomly turned off the Mythical transformation vs Kaido:



That doesn't mean Yamato's physical stats, stamina, durability aren't boosted here by her DF.

When Luffy touches Kairoseki:



Luffy couldn't even use Haki while touching Kairoseki:



So she definitely used her DF as we know she doesn't need any transformations to boost her physical stats, stamina, durability and other abilities as a Mythical Zoan (see the Kaido and Momo example above) and also it was a offpanel fight so we didn't even see she transform or not.

As far as I know I think this is pretty plausible to some extent.

Obviously they won't have all their powers at peak strength but some might be accessible at least.

Like the Lycans from Underworld where they're still somewhat super strong without turning into wolves.

It also could mean that Teach ate a separate Mythical Zoan which has yet to be revealed.

But the Yami is a special Logia so it could be that it resembles an MZ, similar to how Katakuri's fruit resembles a logia.

Using one or two specific skill in base doesn't mean you used your df to the fullest in the fight

Yamato didn't use her zoan forms to fight Ace
Stop trying to cope as much

So when you hear a mouthbreather deny Yamato getting effortlessly packed up with 0 effort by Himbull here just because she wasn't in Hybrid mode
