I believe this fully, Nami perfectly compliments Luffy by letting him handle the emotional side of things and big decisions, while Nami works behind the scenes to make sure everything else is going well. Nami is a coward at times, and Luffy forces her to explore the world more than she would, to help her goal of mapping the entire world, while Luffy is a madman that would have died at sea who knows how long ago without Nami's cautious wisdom.

It's great how they play off each other.

Was it not obvious? Her navigation skills pretty much carried the SHs into the grand line. Luffy and Zoro are just fighters, Sanji’s a cook and Usopp is a weapon tinkerer/amateur shipwright. Nami was the only one with the skills getting the SHs from place to place.

Exactly thank you …beside that she never did something huge or take big and crucial decisions like zoro or sanji !!! She gives orders when it comes to sailing the ship yes but beside that she’s either showering or hanging with the other weaklings usopp and chopper

i realllyy don’t get when they say she’s the vice captain or the shadow captain bullshit !! Like wth??!

Yea she can do her little gags and beat Luffy senseless for the lolz, but when shit is serious, her input is minimal at best. Hell even her dream and navigation skills haven't received much special treatment as of late. So yea she is a captain in the shadows: a visible figurr with no corporeal presense as a leader.

Lowkey buggy's crew in a weird way might help nami and usopp's case of being chief of staff and vice captain respectively

Mohji and cabaji obviously aren't the strongest and haven't been for a minute but they still have the titles. Hopefully usopp and nami will too
