Character Discussion Nami Marries Loki: Love and Thunder, Navigating the Storm

#22
Oh, good question. To begin with, Loki would have taken time to develop his CoO growing up, so, he probably came to value people's hearts over their bodies. He can see what Lola looks like, but differently that us, and he feels her "heart" more than he judged her "body" if that makes sense.

I believe Loki's CoO is advanced enough that he can see shapes/figures with his mind, like whales.

Whales are capable of sending signals to each other that literally will place an image of what they're seeing in another whale's brain.

Loki can "see" Shanks and Shamrock with his 3rd eye.

I think Loki is True Top Tier; we can tell because Oda nerfed him immediately, the royal Luffy and Zoro treatment.

Hell, the Marines are such bitches they needed to nerf terminally ill Whitebeard with Squard.

Loki has top-tier CoA, and can do the same level of Giant Haki techniques Linlin and Kaido could.
Loki has top-tier CoC
Loki has CoO that surpasses Luffy/Katakuri and Enel.

Add what looks like a Supreme Grade Weapon on top of a Mythical Zoan?

Loki is just straight up busted. He can probably tell Shanks and Shamrock apart from clothes + scars. Dude has been blindfolded and stuck to a tree for 6 years.

Great time to work on the Observation Haki.
I agree with you that Loki probably developed his CoO growing up, he can probably see images better than Fujitora.
I also agree that he can tell Shanks and Shamrock apart, just like he could tell Lola and Chiffon apart. Like you said, their spirit is very different.
However, the 3rd eye in one piece belongs to Pudding, and the three-eye tribe. Oda wouldn't mix this before he showed us Pudding's eye in action.
And even if he could somehow pull an image from someone else's mind, from whom? Gunko? Would she let him? Besides, we've seen that sea stone weakens a person's haki too. With weakened CoO, how could he tell that they look exactly alike?
There is another possiblity: Loki isn't blind. The blindfold could be partly tranparent. If he takes it off, he might have some devastating power, or something he wishes to hide (like Katakuri hides his mouth).

Wrong 3rd Eye. I mean the Pineal Gland, not an actual third visible eye. My fault, should have clarified.

https://neurolaunch.com/pineal-gland-in-brain/

I don't think Loki ate a Fruit, I think his Hammer Rangir ate one.

We've already seen Ragnir shoot out lightning.

And we have a Lightning based dragon in Elbaph already:

IMO Loki would be too busted with his own Mythical Zoan. It's the Hammer.

When he killed Harald, Ragnir "Ate" Harald's Fruit: The Mythical Dragon Zoan, Nidhogger

"Níðhöggr (Old Norse: Níðhǫggr [ˈniːðˌhɔɡːz̠] lit. 'Níð Hewer; Malice Biter/Striker; Striker in the Dark'), often anglicized Nidhogg, is a wyrm dragon in Norse mythology who is said to gnaw at the roots of the world tree, Yggdrasil, and is likewise associated with the dead in Hel and Niflheim."

Loki was at the base of the Adam Tree, which IMO is part of the World Tree, for 6 years.

Fits him.

I read your link, I also read about it in Wikipedia and saw references to other animals and myths. The pineal gland is the source of any third-eye legend. Besides, even in dragon comodos, which use it the best, it can only see light and shadow, far from the detailed image needed to tell two twins are actually twins. The myths about the pineal gland go back to what Pudding has.

I like your idea that Ragnir "ate" Harald's fruit. But that would mean Loki could have eaten another fruit, perhaps even as a child, which could explain his blindfold and being able to see through it so well as to tell Shamrock and Shanks look the same.

Yeah, I also get this vibe and can see Nami in the future following Bellemere's legacy, i.e. taking care of orphaned kids.
Maybe she'll even manage her own orphanage (and getting investments is exactly her cup of tea, I can already imagine how it goes lol)
If Oda was secretly planning Vivi x Nami this whole time, then all I can say is YES YES YES YES YES

A certain subsection of artists will have a HUGE amount of fun drawing this...

So, now that ANE is banned, I can make this post, without fearing for my safety, and I wanna let everyone know: I think Loki and Nami are gonna get it on.

First off, I should note: for reasons I don't want to get into here, since it's another thread in itself, I believe Luffy and Nami are siblings.

The Narrative Evidence:

-The first character with true narrative ties to Loki introduced in One Piece is Lola, in Thriller Bark.

-Lola tries to kill Nami, because the man she loves, Absalom, wants to marry Nami. Nami befriends Lola, and convinces her Absalom isn't good for her.

-Absalom is an Invisible Man, who cannot be seen. Loki is blind, unless he's REALLY chuuni or some shit, since we've seen him with bandages on his eyes going back to Loki being a child, and cannot see. Asbalom is composed of wild beasts; Loki is friends with wild beasts.

-Absalom tries and fails to marry Nami by force, but is stopped by... Sanji, a Prince of a War-faring Nation. Hmmmmmmmmmm? That's interesting.

-Thriller Bark's secondary main villain is a Zombie Ancient Oni introduced while chained in a frozen basement lab, Oars, while Loki, who has Ancient Oni DNA was introduced while chained in the frozen Underworld of Elbaph

-One Piece features two arcs with failed forced marriages: Thriller Bark, and Whole Cake Island. Both involve Nami as a key part of the wedding.

-In Whole Cake, Nami meets Lola's sister, Chiffon, who is also married. Chiffon tells Nami that Lola didn't want to marry Loki. Chiffon was supposed to marry Loki, but, since Loki doesn't see with his eyes, as he is blindfolded, and used CoO to see, he could tell Chiffon was not Lola.

-Since Loki has been shown as blind through his entire life, he sees with Color of Observation; while many men would dislike Lola and Chiffon's features, Loki instead fell in love with Lola's strong, loving, caring spirit. But, Lola wanted to be free, not forced into marriage.

-Lola marries Gotti, a man whose name is of Norse origin.

-While Nami's outward beaty is notable, her inner beauty is far superior; Nami is a truly selfless and motherly individual. She is also strong, possessing CoC (eat deluxe sausages and pretend they're dicks Toei), and Weather forecasting borderline on Observation Haki. Storms are full of Electromagnetic Distortion; Enel's CoO was so strong BECAUSE his Lightning Fruit gave him the ability to feel the electrical signals of other combined with his Mantra Training. Nami and Loki most likely both possess high level CoO

-Nami and Loki's weapons are both pole-based that used mythological forces to summon Lightning. Nami's character is also very versed in Norse symbolism, with Oda also saying she would be from Sweden, a Viking territory, in real life.

-The Yonkou that forced Sanji into marriage and made Nami travel to Whole Cake grew up in Elbaph and learned Haki techniques from them. There's actually a great chance Big Mom learned Haki techniques from Loki when he travelled the New World. Big Mom LOVES Giants; Loki being a pirate hated by Elbaph is why she could get an audience with him to begin with, but then Lola messed things up for her.

Moving beyond narratives, let's look at what Nami looks for in an individual.

-Wealth
-Loyalty
-Power

Nami's focus this arc so far has been stealing treasure from the Giant Royal Castle. Loki is a Prince of the nation, and would be able to make her rich.

Nami values power and loyalty. While Loki did kill his father, we don't know anything about his mother. Since Hajrudin's mother was not from Elbaph, but Harald still loved her, I believe that Hajrudin's mother was Harald's true love, and Loki's mother the wife he was forced to marry for political purposes.

Loki despises Harald for putting Hajrudin and his wife before his own mother.

Loki is tied narratively to Usopp as a lying trickster associated with Giants and being a God: Sogeking, God of Snipers Usopp, and self-proclaimed Sun God Loki.

Usopp's mother died because her father neglected her over his Dream. I believe Loki's mother died as a result of Harald favoring his dream with his other wife/Hajrudin over Loki.

Loki's mother would have either been a Giant, or Ancient Oni Giant; it is likely she looked down upon Hajrudin's mother. Disputes in Elbaph are solved via 1v1 combat to the death. There are no laws we have seen limiting this to the male Gender:

Loki's mother challenged Hajrudin's mother to a duel to the death. However, Hajrudin's mother, like Saul, was a foreign, and peaceful Giant; she had no hatred for Loki's mother, and refused to fight.

Hajrudin's mother died, and, as a result, Harald came to be cold and detached from Loki's mother. Loki's mother then either was exiled, fled, or died; I imagine, giving One Piece, that she's dead.

Nami finding out Loki hates Hajrudin because of his mother's weakness causing his own mother's death, and Harald choosing another wife over his own mother, would be enough to touch Nami's heart.

Nami loved her mother for being a badass, and, Nami has always been seen shitting on Dorry and Brogy's 100 year battle: Nami realizing that Loki and Hajrudin's mother died because of Elbaph's barbaric ass bullshit would actually break her heart.

In Wano, Usopp gave it to Kinemon and Kiku regarding their suicidal ass policies.

Elbaph is ever more ridiculously callous of the value of life: Dorry and Brogy LOVE each other, and were fighting over, what? WHO CAUGHT THE BIGGEST DINOSAUR?

TWO BEST FRIENDS WERE FIGHTING EACH OTHER FOR OVER 100 YEARS TO THE DEATH OVER A PETTY DISAGREEMENT, AND ONLY STOPPED BECAUSE THEY NEEDED TO GO BACK HOME, TO GET NEW WEAPONS.

NAMI'S RIGHT, ELBAPH IS FUCKING CRAZY

Why are you killing your best friend, because he caught a bigger meal? The fuck? THE FUCK?

Loki will fall in love with Nami over her loyalty, her strength CoC, her personality via his CoO reading her true colors, her kindness towards children, and her maternal instincts.

Nami standing against the practice that caused his mother's tragic demise, while also calling out Harald for adultery, will make Loki fall for Nami.

Loki using a hammer that summons lightning is tying him to Thor in Norse Mythology, who serves as the equivalent to Zeus, Nami's Homie, in Greek Mythology.

Elbaph is a land of magic and sky islands. Nami studied magic and sky islands over the time skip.

Nami helped Luffy fight Enel, a Lightning wielding DF user who believed himself to be... God, and who wanted to destroy the world.

Finally, going back to Nami's kindness and children, we see Gerd explicitly mention children while trying to negotiate with Loki, while Mosa stated that Loki was really a kind person. People in One Piece who like animals generally also like kids:

Gerd isn't stupid, she's a doctor who was able to easily see through Rodo's BS. She also knows Loki well. Keep in mind these people have known each other longer than most of us have been alive x 2. Most us humans die around 80. These characters are near that age.

Loki and Nami are narratively tied through: Lightning, Marriage, and Wealth. She went to his castle seeking Elbaph's wealth: what's the easiest way to get it?

Nami will be the Queen, yes.

But not of the Pirates.

Nami will be the Queen of Elbaph, Loki it's King, and Hajrudin the King of the Giants, not just Elbaph.

Want more proof? Not satisfied?

The Navigator of the King of the Pirates married a Giant and made a child with them.

Who was Nami seen engaging with last chapter?

Yep, the Giant child of Roger's Navigator, Colun:

But, it's not like Nami has a soft-spot for looking after Giant children like a mother-

...

Nami is a Big Mom themed character

The Guy Lola Rejected shares a ton of connections to Nami

Every character associated with him is marriage associated

Nami is associated with Giant children

Roger's Navigator married a Giant and made a Giant child

Nami x Loki is real

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW

Why would you pair Nami with that Ugly loser guy?
People who run from danger aren't cowards.

People who refuse to abandon their friends, even when they're scared, and don't know how they can win, are something else: Heroes.

People can call it plot armor, when Usopp beat Sugar, but it was something else: love.

We are taught that the world is inherently evil by goons who trade kids for money. It is not.

The world is inherently kind.

Usopp's lies are not lies, because he works as hard as he can to make them true.

Usopp saved Kaya's life, she was a sick wreck before he befriended her. Not just from Kuro, he cured the misery in her heart.

Usopp is a top 10 lover in One Piece; this man will surpass his dad, and be the most PRESENT FATHER POSSIBLE.

EOS Usopp surpasses Daddy the Father

Question, do you guys genuinely think Oda intends to write Nami as a gay? Because outside of a joke scene with Kalifa (which only works if Nami isn't actually attracted to her), I've never gotten that vibe from her and I especially don't get the fascination with Vivi x Nami.

I don't like the idea of Nami being exactly like or an enhanced version of Bell-mere, she's a navigator who belongs to the sea and I think Oda could do better in showing biological parent-child bonds; essentially I'd like to see Nami have her own kid if she is to become a mom by the end.

Also this Loki theory is trash, sorry CoC

I think Nami is bi, from her interactions with Vivi and Kalifa, but, I think she's more into guys.

I think there's a 95% chance Loki's into Nami, and a 50% chance she's interested back, if Loki is a person who was wronged by his parents, because Nami is sympathetic to people like that.

If Nami realizes Loki is like this because of childhood abuse, and realizes that Loki is trying to save his country from the World Government, like she was trying to save Cocoyasi village from Arlong.

Nami LIKES guys with rough edges, the crew is full of them.

Nami likes royalty, likes money, likes strong men who defend the weak, and likes loyal men. If Loki checks all those bells, I think Nami is at least a heavy Loki sympathizer, but then gets heavily hurt because of it, because Loki is the type to sadly cause destruction, even when he doesn't really mean too.

I think he might even be Cursed, since we've been getting more and more into demonic territory with the Abyss and Tattoos/Runes and Summoning Circles.

Tell me Vegapunk in Elbaph isn't going to make size altering drugs. Wanna bet... like... a bottle of artesian water over it?

That's the thing I don't get, what did Nami do with Vivi that makes you and others think Nami was ever interested in her? I genuinely can't think of anything. And I'm not convinced by Kalifa either, with Nami saying "I'm talking like an old man" and not showing any interest otherwise.

Nami made it pretty clear that Loki is just a monster to her, she didn't even remember that he was going to marry Lola.
