As i lay here in the dark a thought crossed my mind

Nami is the only east blue straw hat whose origins and true family lineage as yet to be shown or mentioned, I believe i have the answers

Okay so let's talk about the little we do know

We know shes from Oykot island
We know that island was attacked by pirates
We know that Bell'mere found her on that island along side Nojiko

That's where it ends but lets look at her east blue crew mates

Usopp- Son of Yasopp a powerful sniper on a yonko's crew and potentially a descendant of Noland the liar

Sanji- A long lost cybernetically enhanced prince of a kingdom that ruled the north blue for 66 days

Zoro- Direct descendants of ryuma, and ties to Wano

Luffy- Son of Revolutionary Dragon, Grandson of Garp the hero and the second coming of Joy Boy

Does Oda really expect me to buy Nami is just some girl that Bell'mere found? X for doubt

I can see 2 possible options

A- She is the daughter of a member of that pirate crew and was abandoned their... possible but doubtful and unless its a powerful or well known crew i find this unlikely

B- what i belive to be more likely is shes royalty, shes from Oykot Kingdom~ which means it a country ruled by a monarchy, shes constantly being drawn in colored cover pages wearing crowns and with princess attire, thats no coincidence those pages while not exactly canon can give hints to Canon events, I believe her and Nojiko's connection is deeper than she just happened to find her like Nojiko claimed.

I believe Nojiko's family served Nami's often in history Royal families had servants

So long story short

Nami is a princess, Nojiko was meant to grow up to be her servant but instead pirates attacked, and then Bellemere took them in

This royal family will tie into the story in some way shape or form I guarantee it

Her being ex royalty also ties in thematically with her greed. Always obsessed with money, because she (and her kin) lost everything when she was an infant, and then fell even lower once Arlong started demanding his tax on the village.

Luffy represents fame (wanting to be PK), Zoro represents power (the pursuit of the WSS title), and Nami represents wealth (the same that she lost, the same which would've spared Bellemere life, had Nami still had it, the wealth that could've bought her own freedom from Arlong, had Arlong kept his word).

By the series epilogue, everybody will know Luffy's name, nobody will be able to defeat Zoro, and Nami will be the richest princess (maybe even queen?) in the world.

Ooo I didn't even think of the thematic aspect of it

Alrighty, however I think it may not be good to share the exact time since that could get you somewhat doxxed by people looking up the timezone
I think people will would need my IP address for that gotta be some sort of doofensmirtz level genius to dox with a time zone

There's a reason so many princesses have the same face as Nami. As in a narrative reason we will find out eventually.

Hell even Shiki wanted her for himself in Strong World. She's the girl all the bad guys want.

I remember someone comparing her to Dorothy Gale (oh God the weather pun too) ages ago, as in Wizard of Oz (Oars lul) and I personally expected her storyline to be inspired by Bamboo Princess Kaguya or something with mermaids, water Dragons and whatever.

I don't think it's a coincidence Namis name can become Tsunami, she's an expert navigator with unrivalled weather sensing affinity somehow and Shirahoshi said Nami felt really familiar as if she knew her before IIRC? Past lives and reincarnation? Maybe Nami was sent to the future by a Toki fruit user for some reason? I always thought Zoro might be from the extreme distant past but maybe it's Nami?

Something BIG is coming with Nami, I guarantee it.

I also feel Usopp will turn out to be Marshall or Montblanc especially or even both or and Vista may be related to his mother possibly but I'm getting mostly very random here ofc.

Tagging @KonyaruIchi too.

There's a lot to potentially work with:

She was found in a warzone as an infant, same as Shanks who's turned out to have CD blood. A lot of major groups have one member with CD blood (Emperors, Warlords, Supernovas) and I wouldn't be surprised if Nami turns out to be the one with CD blood in the Straw Hats. I also saw a video pointing out similarities between Nami and Bonney, generally discussing Nami's potential heritage:

But then there's also her affinity for weather, having a supernatural sense for it and she seemed right at home in Skypiea with the waver and all. It could just be Nami's intellect on display, but then she also has further connections to the Sky Islands thanks to her time in Weatheria.

Finally, as you suggested, she could be lost royalty from Oykot Kingdom and it could be the reason why Nami is so frequently drawn with crowns; Oda has even commented on her having a "queenly" nature which is why Sanji addresses her with "-san" but every other woman with "-chan".

Either way, we're definitely in for another Nami backstory if Oda holds true to this:
