You have about 70% of the players signed up uninformed, trying to figure out which 30% are informed and are the 'bad guys'. Each player will typically be given a role that they can use to influence the game. The 30% can eliminate one of the 70% every 'night', during the day everyone comes together to eliminate another player that they think is bad.

Once you're signed-up, you'll receive a PM with your role sheet. It will also be the place where people use their abilities. After everybody got their role via PM, a game thread will open, and during dayphases(mostly 48h or 24h per dayphase) players will discuss who they think are villagers or scums and on the same time, a vote to lynch a player takes place. So you have to vote the player you think is scum.
