She is pretty hated. But she also has one of the biggest fanbases, too.

A lot of feminists and femboys stan Sakura because they think she’s just another female character getting unfairly attacked by misogynistic incels. It’s not even because they think she’s actually well-written

A Kisame spin-off would be so interesting. Instead, we’ll get a dumb spinoff about how Minato created the Rasengan, the most overused jutsu in the series

It's blatant that Sakura is poorly written character compared to rest of the cast, specially considering she's one of the main characters, but a lot of hate she gets is downright objectively untrue or retarded as well :kayneshrug:

Part of the reason why Sakura is loved by so many now is because of the aformentioned hate. Constant shittalk of useless or weak when the latter is nowhere close to the true is gonna get people to defend her, and like her by extension.

Other than that, in New Era, her character is pretty cool- single mother who takes over all of medical department on top of being strongest kunoichi ever. So that's respectable.
