Controversial Naruto was never creative with any Ninjutsus.

Sure some ninjutsu were cool. But they were all boring. No one ever used theirs in a creative way. Or used a weaker ninjutsu to beat a stronger one. In Naruto if you had a strong Kekkei Genkai you were more powerful.

Jokes asides I'd say some moments, maybe more in the beginning, had some creativity. Like Kakashi vs Zabuza part 2. Zabuza had advantage with his fog but Kakashi was creative to get hit on purpose and use his dogs to track Zabuza. Haku also tricked Sasuke into protecting Naruto since he couldn't beat Sharingan himself. The sound village people (not the homo ones) were creative to not let Rock Lee "kill" one of their owns with that lotus attack. There are some moments like that here and there. But yea Shippuden is a fucking mess. Bunch of ass pull ninjutsus that does everything and you can't do shit about it... Until you can!

Notice though, no one is ever really confused about what happens in Naruto.

Ninjutsu never betrays the rules that are set.

Each served an identifiable purpose and fans basically never argue about their understanding of what happened.

I think there’s plenty to criticize about Naruto, I just think a lot of OP/Bleach fans miss the mark

I would say there is also a level of the same criticisms for all three series and fans trying to justify them for One but not the other. Like the Reincarnations of both Naruto and One Piece.
