Speculations New Gorosei ranking method?

Unless you believe it a coincidence that 3 of the current Admiral, the current and former Fleet Admiral, and former Admiral Aokiji all stumbled upon their fruits by accident, then we can assume the WG has access to the highest tier of fruits and this is how the Gorosei obtained theirs
And the little tidbit about just being labeled "Sandworm" or "Gyuki" or the aforementioned shared powers?

It's weird but we know from Garling now that Gorosei are already powerful fighters before being selected

To say the Gorosei are just weaklings is to say Imu had chosen randomly which does not appear to be the case
As I mentioned, at least Nasujuro showed he was a skilled swordsman. But the other four seemed totally dependent on the powers. Whether or not they were just rusty from not fighting for who knows how long, or what have you, in hindsight, it came off less "scary demon immortals" and more "a bunch of old farts who hit the superpower jackpot".

Again the Regen is from Imu

Their monster forms are just Mythical Zoan man
The naming scheme is different. Oda revealed the power name, yet never gave them an actual devil fruit title. Same with Cerberus despite it would be pretty easy to.

Not to mention the hybrid forms seem… abnormal. As they all look like Black Marias centaur like hybrid which Oda specified was abnormal and only done because of experimentation.

What if, instead of being ranked by planet order, the Gorosei are ranked according to the order of the days?

For those who don’t know, the days are named after celestial bodies, Norse gods, and Roman gods.

Sunday is the Sun’s Day
Monday is the Moon’s Day
Tuesday is Tyr’s Day
Wednesday is Woden’s/Odin’s Day
Thursday is Thor’s Day
Friday is Freya’s Day
Saturday is Saturn’s Day.

Nika is the Sun, so Prime Nika would be #1 and above all Gorosei obviously.

Garling is the Moon, so we would be the strongest Gorosei since Monday comes before every day except Sunday

The closest analogue in Greek/Roman mythology for Tyr is Ares/Mars, so Mars (Tuesday) would be the 2nd strongest Gorosei

The closest analogue in Greek/Roman mythology to Odin is actually Hermes/Mercury instead of Zeus, according to many scholars, so Warcury (Wednesday) would be the 3rd strongest Gorosei

The closest analogue in Greek/Roman mythology to Thor is Zeus/Jupiter, so Ju Peter (Thursday) would be the 4th strongest Gorosei.

The closest analogue in Greek/Roman mythology to Freya is Aphrodite/Venus, so Nusjuro (Friday) would be the 5th strongest Gorosei.

And lastly, Saturn (Saturday) would be the 6th strongest Gorosei.

So the ranking would be:

1. Nika
2. Garling
3. Mars
4. Warcury
5. Ju Peter
6. V. Nusjuro
7. Saturn

Nah

Proximity to sun or size is better.

This is just stupid no offense

-Garling is strong without powers
-Nasjuro is strong without powers

The other Gorosei nah they're just some old guys who hit the jackpot

Oda is patternistic, why would the trend of Gorosei being powerful in base form end with Nasjuro (arguably the oldest looking one there besides Saturn)

Well, then it's on him for writing it like that, but whatever the intent was, the other four just weren't impressive looking. Like they were completely reliant on Imu's powers and nothing else.

It's one thing to downplay the Gorosei for Yonko and Admiral agendas.

But saying they are only Jack level or saying they aren't strong fighters at all, and they are only strong because of Imu just fucking stupid.

And yep Imu isn't going to randomly choose a CD to become a Elder.

Look at Garling who was is the supreme commander of the God's Knights, fought at God Valley, and was said by Oda to be a very strong fighter.

Imu chose him to replace Saturn as an Elder, and in the past he most likely chose Ju Peter who back then was most likely a God's Knight to replace one of the previous Elders.

Why though? Is there any reason besides Shonen logic? Maybe like trust issues?
Well, Imu's existence is basically illegal. No one's supposed to sit on the Empty Throne. All nations are equal.

Also, one of the Founding Twenty being over 800 years old and ruling the entire world in secret? Well, not exactly the best PR image, either.

You really fucking think Imu is going to choose some random dumb CD as an Elder.:seriously:

That is why there is the God's Knights, a group of CD who are also legit fighters, Imu would choose one of them to replace one of the Elders if he has to.

He's not going to have someone like fucking Rosward for example become an Elder.

"Whatever the intent was"
Brother I'll give you Saturn since he needed a cane to walk but you have 0 reason to assume the others (all of which are towering giants) are weaklings in Base Form when Garling and Nasjuro aren't

I guess I just don't understand why CD culture has been turned into what it is. For example, how did Saturn even become a scientist when the other CD's around him just stuff their faces all day? Is it just a couple CDs are groomed from a young age to become Gorosei?

The sad thing is, it really could have been pretty simple. Just have someone like Warcury go in hybrid form and throw a few punches at Luffy or the Giant Duo.

It would be easy to say that the Holy Knights come from lesser branch families sworn to serve the main branch, and as such, they aren't as rich and pampered and have to work to earn their lifestyles.

We know there are at least two branches of the Donquixote Family, for example.

@TheKnightOfTheSea @Gauntlet @Shiroyru

Some of these people are still in their dumb headcanon belief that the Elders are just politicians and nothing more.

They still can't accept the fact that they were wrong about them being strong legit fighters.

And now the excuse is, oh they were never strong, they were just random CD that only became fighters because of Imu.

The downplay for these guys get more and more dumb.

Also the Egghead arc wasn't an arc meant to fight and defeat the Elders, which is why we never saw the hybrid forms for a few of them, and why some of them didn't show a lot more feats.
