So you know how Oda got inspiration for the his story based real life pirates era. What else was a big thing back in those days?

Why do you think they called him JOYBOY? The dude was always drugged out of his mind. The World Governmet sees this and bans all mention and history of this, to protect humanity and civilization as we known it, hence the void era. But JOYBOY leaves a whole secret Island of it behind. The ONE PIECE.

Thats why when we see Roger and his Crew on LaughTale they are cackaling like fools drugged out of their minds. The WG are really the good guys trying to prevent this catastrophy.

I might be a little high as I'm typing this but I think it fits.

I think the whole One Piece treasure is a myth created by the Ancient Kingdom to keep WG shaking about their future and sweating from preventing people from finding it.

The way Roger and his crew laughed the fuck out of the situations made me believe that there is basically nothing there but an island without animals/people. Basically, a new island waiting to be found and lived on.
