Character Discussion Newer Levels of Copium

#21
Its not that hard to understand really. If that was the case people would be calling Mihawk the strongest there was period. He is always mentioned in terms of swordsmanship. Highly likely is, he may have a leg up (arm up lol) to Shanks by a bit. However compared to Roger which is Luffy's goal...Thats still yet to be surpassed, which is tied to Luffy AND the rest of the world's expectations of what calibre a Pirate King should be.

Its always about subliminal fan base wars. But the story keeps things pretty specific and nuanced at the same time. Thats Oda's intention to keep it ambiguous until the time comes.
I was only talking about Mihawk's strength as a swordsman and how some claim he's not stronger than Shanks just because Oda didn't use those words. Instead, he tells us through his title which makes sense because that is what a title's for.

Since you want to talk about Roger then let's talk about the fact Pirate King is not a level. That is a lie fans pushed for years. Buggy made it clear you don't have to beat anybody in a fight to become Pirate King. You just can't become PK by yourself. You need a crew and help. Buggy goal is to be PK and he is not even YC level.

Oda told us a long time ago Luffy's greatest power is not his haki or DF. It's his ability to gather followers.

oh damn, is this thread because of me?

Mihawkeks, I'm still waiting for a panel where it was said that Mihawk was the one who made Yoru black blade.

Because as of now, Mihawk has just as much proof that he made his own black blade as Aramaki:

Imma laugh my ass off if that’s simply a black sheath
I'm laughing my ass of at your blind ass not seeing that the "sheath" is way thinner than a hilt
Blind ass mf :milaugh:
There is no meaning in him telling Zoro "Any blade can be made into a Kokuto" when he trained Zoro, if Mihawk didn't do it himself.
The meaning was basic CoA training.

That's why he didn't say "like I did"
He said "like mine"

Armament Haki was to protect Zoro's swords from being shattered again - not to turn a sword into Kokuto.
It was literally the point of that flashback, that's why Zoro only learned about black blades in Wano and not from Mihawk's bum ass

And if he didn't do it himself, then how does he know that in the first place, lol?
same reason a fox knows even tho it's a complete fodder and an animal

Assuming that is a black blade and not just temporary coated with blackened haki, show me the scene where GB talks about it's a disgrace for a swordsman sword to receive even a small chip and how any blade can become a black blade.

The fox (who was part of the same clan as Ryuuma btw) was talking about it based on what it had heard about Ryuuma achieving it lmfao.

Sure pal, it's totally not about making sure one's sword doesn't break - like the dialogue says.

... why:sanmoji:

I mean yeah... apply some lousy CoA and the sword is less likely to break:sanmoji: I don't understand what does this got to do with black blades, it's just regular CoA lesson

Wrong, he was telling Zoro part of the power needed to create a black blade.

Zoro just didn't realize that at the time.

Mihawk stated if Zoro's swords would have been black blades he wouldn't have broken them. We have seen swords break when coated with blackened haki. That tells us he wasn't just talking about using CoA haki.

I still yet to see you provide any scene where GB is talking about haki, black blade or making his sword unbreakable.

Yeah no shit, we knew that before Mihawk's lousy flashback

That doesn't disprove what Mihawk's flashback was just a basic CoA lesson and nothing more.
Zoro only started learning about black blade making in Wano, not from Mihawk's bum ass

The databook ask if haki alone is needed to create a black blade.

Mihawk stated if Zoro's swords would have been black blades he wouldn't have broken them. We have seen swords break when coated with blackened haki. That tells us he wasn't just talking about using CoA haki.

Oh I see it but if oda can have someone carry this long as sheath

but pull this from it

U can’t tell me he wouldn’t troll the fandom :suresure:

personally though I don’t mind if it’s a black blade lol Mihawk still has the wss title and had the strongest black blade but would be stupid af as to why he didn’t use it on marijoa

Lol

Kaido told Luffy "we call this awakening" yet people don't believe he has awakening

Nobody is forced to believe Mihawk did turn Yoru into black blade until we learn real proof that he did it by himself

Greatest pirate that'll stand in the way of Luffy's PK dream wil be BB, he will have awakening + ACoC to sky split no?
Likewise the man who has WSS will have maxed out on all the skills and abilities Zoro has plus having made his own Black Blade.

Dare to bet on it?
