Break Week Nika came too early in the story, for the story to make sense

they will not bother too much until Nika leads a force that can actually challenge them.
Makes no sense to let him get this far. Why risk Nika getting stronger when you can crush him while he is weak?

WG can not or does not take over the world because of the Ancient Weapons. They are still out there and WG fears them.
They probably have one of them, but could not use it until the invention of a proper power source.

Currently we think that the WG is almighty and rules the planet. This is what is being said.
But...
Revos managed to free entire countries and grow ever stronger. And they are not even active for that long. Meaning the WG has less control than we perceive.
We only see the story from their side right now. We never get to see the strength of the opposition.

Luffy will break an 800 year stalemate.

To be fair, the World Government never actually had control over the entire planet. Maybe the majority (if you count both sides of the Red Line), but not all of it.

It seems like the WG only ever had control over Paradise. The WG didn't seem to have much, if any, presence in the New World before the time skip. It seems like it was only during the timeskip where the WG started building new Marine Bases in the New World.

Mind you, it seems like no one actually had control over the New World. It was basically treated like the Wild West. With only various Yonko and the Giants over the years claiming bits and pieces of territory. But, no one faction ever got control over all of it. At least, that's my read on it.

The World Government has good PR, but it's not as strong and ingrained as it likes to present itself as being.

The "World" Government has really been more like the "Half-World" Government for these past 800 years, as far as I can tell.

Oda spends at least a few pages in every chapter across almost 1100 chapters to build a bigger picture. And each instance creates a dumber narrative of who Luffy is and will be. Nika is literally the awakening of that dumb narrative as every plot hole involving how the world government handles his case is widening.

They sent the Grosei what else u want Imu Sama to do? LMAO
The story is built on revelations to the reader that aren't revelations within the story. At this point it makes no sense that they didn't try much harder from the beginning and even now we see how they're able to teleport immortal top tiers... nah, stay home Shamrock it'll be alright.

maybe Imu didnt realize there was a pirate with the Gomu Gomu No Mi till like Enies Lobby-ish, which is why he indirectly told Sengoku be ordered Kizaru to go to Sabaody as Luffy punched a Tenryuubito.
Post automatically merged:

Then Luffy disappears for like two years. All is well
Gorosei are relaxed
till Dolflamingo falls!

Now World Gov knows Luffy and who he is. Gorosei bring him up during meetings
Akainu is there too
SWORD was formed
etc etc

Who's Who lost that DF to Shanks, who never showed it across like ten years. A guy with the same D name as Garp and Dragon appears and starts stretching all over the place. Dude can't keep a secret and has no idea that some of the few things he even knows are problematic. Topples a Shichibukai, escapes Aokiji at ES, escapes Kuma (?!), escapes Kizaru at Sabaody. By the time they were ready to tell the whole fucking world that this is the son of Dragon maybe they should have realized that killing him and Ace are both essential to the checkmate. None of this "he may become a problem" bullshit, he was obviously exactly what they thought he might be.

Honestly in hindsight, they should have killed Garp and Dragon as soon as the latter refused to take part in the Navy.

He died after Marineford
All is well

We've already exhausted: Sending Kuma after him, stopping him during Marineford, and "killing" him, oh wait he's alive? whatever hes's a cripple probably.

Based.

Oda is retard and has inconsistent writing. Shamrock was sent to elbaf to rally the giants to the wg in order to fight nika in the final war. While nika is on elbaf and he could be targeted directly. And the holy knights know that nika is on elbaf. This doesnt make any sens at all. Also, instead of sending the most compéetent wg assets like shamrock + some strong gorosei, they send some fraudulant HK who can get OS by some old declining Top tier, and who admitted being unable to fight nika because too weak and afraid of nika

But,if this is what the story TELLS us,what the story SHOWS us is actually something totally different!
This is nothing new and has been the story of OP for a long time. Luffy declared War on the World Govt at Ennis Lobby. Next Arc is Filler Bark. Impel Down and Marineford Arcs are chaotic but at this point the WG should be hunting down Luffy and that should continue into the Post TS Arcs. OP isn't well written and Oda is very bad at plot.

...Yeah, I'll admit, there is a little bit of narrative convenience going on here. Saturn basically telling the other Marines to not follow the Strawhats in Chapter 1125 was a...slightly weird choice, given everything that happened. "Nah...don't follow them. They're having fun adventures with the Giants. We can't interrupt their fun adventure time. Just wait, they'll tucker themselves out." Oda didn't want the World Government to interrupt the adventure on Elbaph too much, but...this was a pretty weak excuse.
.

Oda has done this before. He had Franky destroy the plans for Pluton. He had Luffy tell Rayleigh to not reveal anything about the OP. Oda does this all time because he doesn't want change the overal dynamic/plot-progression. But a serialized story must change and that's why the story is falling apart the longer it goes on.
