So the first Nika we know about was JoyBoy that lived 1000-800 years ago specially during the void century. We know that he was the first pirate (cringe) and that the war ended with his defeat. Pretty much he was involved into the war since it's beginning so he lived at least more the 100 years. Because of the giant straw hat at Imu's room he was most likely a giant himself. We are not sure if he had a DF of the Sun God Nika that Giants used to worship (most likely was that) or if he was the first one to have those powers like Vegapunk's theory says so. We know that the DF with those powers have being running away from World Governament ever since (cringe).
We know that Nika's heartbeats awakens the Ancient Robot and that the Ancient Robot attacked Marejoia 200 years ago. This Ancient Robot is a Robot made by Ancient Kingdom during the Void Century to fight against what we know today as World Governament. So the Ancient Robot stayed sleeping since Void Century because Nika was no longer there and awaked 200 years ago because ANOTHER Nika showed up. And now again.
We know that AT LEAST Mars and Warcury knows about the Ancient Robot rampage of 200 years ago so they were alived since there. We can't be sure about others since we saw no reacting about him from Nusjuro, Ju Peter and Saturn.
I'm not sure about World Governament knowing since always that Luffy's DF was actually Nika's one. It makes no sense. They recently discovered. But I don't know by who. It could be Shanks during their reunion but then besides not making sense for Shanks to know that info himself and to betray Luffy like that it wouldn't make sense for World Governament to do nothing about that.
So my thoughts are. JoyBoy was a giant that became a pirate and he found the Nika DF in his adventures. The event of his awakening and the start of the Void Century was pretty close not sure what came first but it seems Ancient Kingdom was helped by JoyBoy so they made weapons to support him (aka the Ancient Robots that work because of his heartbeats). After Void Century ended with the defeat and death of JoyBoy at least 200 years ago another person using Nika DF awakened and made the Ancient Robot to rampage at Mariejoia. Now Nika is around us again. During those 800 years World Governament searched by that particular Devil Fruit without ever finding it probably because they doesn't know how it looks like too and because the DF somehow escaped from them this whole time.
