I used to think that Gol D. Roger was the GOAT of One Piece universe, but now seems like Joyboy was the real deal.

Not only power wise but especially in importance and impact on the world, i think Nika accomplished much greater feats while i feel like Roger did nothing unless bet on the next generation.

I don't think so. Not that many people know of Nika and the things he did during the Void century. Almost everyone in the OP verse knows about Roger and his accomplishments. That's the only difference between them.

The thing is, Joyboy existed 900 years ago and there's an entire world governament trying to hide what he did

Roger died 20 years ago, and spent like 40 years fucking around the world

A lot of people that met Roger are still alive

It's not that easy to hide what he did

It's not a matter of Roger was more important than Joyboy

Nika is actually what made me respect Roger more than i did ever before. I thought it's weird how he never bested any of his rivals 1v1 till becoming PK while Luffy will. However, he reached laugh tale without being the child of prophecy we all know Luffy is.

He also didn't have the legendary DF the WG fears for many centuries. Roger conquered the world with his willpower alone quite literally ofc unless Oda doesn't fuck that up next.
