People already playing Nintendo Games on PC via Emulator. Better to get the cash from sold copys of your games than people getting it illegaly.
Not many people rather prefer playing exclusive titles illegally on some emulators. That's why Sony exclusive games gained extra popularity when they were officially released for PC. Look at Stellar Blade, it was more popular on PC version than the PS5.

So what would people rather prefer to play, playing Zelda or other Nintendo IPs on the Switch/Switch 2 or even a mid end PC which can play it several times better?

Release it on more platforms=More customers=more money

Thats the reason i think you just need a Handy,PC and Nintendo console.Sony has just Astrobot and XBox has now NOTHING as exclusive titel.Even Halo is on PS
Sure it can initially bring more money but the question is if people would still try to buy a $500 handheld for its exclusives or buy the same exclusives on their PC?

Probably more in the last two years thanks to Nintendos infinite greed.

I think most people would prefer the last one. 500 bucks (+) for a switch 2 vs a decent pc for the same price with options to improve it and a whole lot more games on steam etc.

Exactly, PC gaming got so much popularity in this decade or more. You can mod your games, and even with a mid end PC, you can play many exclusives on high settings with fps which makes PS5 performance look like a joke. Even my laptop with a rtx3050 can play games on solid 60fps at least. This is not even a mid level laptop and it is better than the Switch 2.

I have to say one thing, console optimization is better than PC because devs can actually make some custom settings for consoles so that they still run solid.

PC smokes consoles in every way

Mods(and free),free Multiplayer,Emulators and Roms(also for free),steam keys aka less money for the same Game and all the shit which comes with a PC

Needless to say a 850€ PC>>>>>>850€ PS5Pro

Consoles were good back in the days but they lost their Roots

Im pretty sure i will buy a Switch 2 Lite at same Point, but for now,im fine with my yellow lite 1.

So,i got the 3. Key and even Viola is fun to use.The desert is,like i said weeks ago, visual boring(what a surprise) but not super big and Viola is pretty fast hence you are fast from point A to point B.I like that

This has so far the potential to be my fav Prime titel

Well, the desert part is just Nintendo's odd obsession to turn almost every of their IP into some open world game. I don't even think Mario Kart World needs it.

I'll still buy Metroid Prime 4 tho.

Ok,i reached the final part of the game and ugh,its like WW all over again.Insane bad Decision

Endpart of WW was the reason ive never touched that game again after i finishd it once.Seems like MP4 will follow it

How was the game overall so far if it wasn't for the ending?

Pretty good.A 9/10

Sylux is sadly pretty trash villain.Raven Beak still remains by Miles the best and coolest villain from that IP
You know, as long as MP4 keeps the usual Metroidvania gameplay in its levels, that's more than enough tbh. I mean, look at what happened to Zelda instead. Nintendo took the franchise's unique identity and made it Zelda Minecraft instead.

So,i finishd the game in 9 hours and 16 minutes.I would give the game a 8/10

The first part, from start to the 5th Key is pretty good, with the mines being kinda "boring".The last part is,"acceptable".Its not as bad as WW triforce quest.Dont change the fact its at best 5/10

Secondary weapons become pretty fast powercreepd by the blaster upgrade which is the first green energy upgrade. In fact,i used the thunder shot only on 1 enemy(not counting doors were you need it) just to try it out

Sylux is lame.He barely does something.Insane boring main villain

No Ridley which is something i never like

Overall,i enjoyd the game. Now i will play it on hard

If the next 3D Zelda is again like BotW/TotK,its save to say Nintendo is not going back to the roots(as BotW forumla makes in fact a lot of money) which means 3D Zelda is save dead for me.2D Zelda is still excellent proven by EoW which was a nice hybrid of classic Zelda and fresh, new ideas

I have nothing against open world Zelda but is there truly the need to massacre this franchise to the point, people compare it with Minecraft?

They can do all their "freedom philosophy" bullshit without going crazy on the physics because I just want to see large real modern 3D Zelda dungeons which are even larger than TP dungeons.

Even the Switch is powerful enough to do all that stuff.
Even PS3 games like Darksiders 1 and 2 managed to design larger Zelda-like dungeons than Twilight Princess, yet we get dungeons in TotK which barely count as ones because they were rather busy creating 152 shrines.

Looking at post TotK interviews, it seems Nintendo wants do try something different instead of the crazy physics for the next Zelda game but I'm really keeping my expectations low.

2D Zelda was great with EoW, I agree with this one.

Problem is BotW/TotK made way more money as any other 3D Zelda. And it was not even close. And since videogames cost more and more to make,i,as a company, would stick to that forumla

We are both old enough to know that every companys maingoal is to make money. And not making a "love letter" for their fans.

And tbh,im not even sure what Zelda has a bigger fanbase, the classic Zelda fanbase or the BotW Fanbase. As BotW is popular

Yeah ofc it's way more popular. I mean TP sold like 8million copies while BotW did 30 million. Nintendo's gonna stick with the open air formula for a very long time till they decide something new again.

However, I disagree with one thing. Only because they want to use this formula doesn't mean Nintendo intends to do TotK copies. See EoW. It still maintains their current formula but it is still way different to TotK.

Traditional items will never appear again, that much is clear.

Uff.Was TP the most sold Zelda before BotW got released?

Because its a 2D Zelda probaly and have a "von-oben" perspective.Cant rly copy/paste the BotW forumla

What do you mean with traditional items?1 dungeon=1 new item? And why is that much clear?IF we getting a classic Zelda again, they will come back.Albeit,i have a hard time seeing Nintendo goes back to it

Yes, so the chance they'll go back to traditional Zelda games is close to 0.

We didn't even get traditional items in BotW/TotK and EoW. We got the runes and echoes as item replacement and even then none of the runes were obtained in the middle of a dungeon.

However, the echoes were made more traditional since Zelda could obtain some "dungeon-relevant" echoes in the middle of the dungeon to progress more further. In BotW/TotK? You can clear any of them in any order with the same rune abilities which you've got in the introduction area.

Maybe Nintendo will bring in items or abilities closer to traditional items but I doubt they'll go completely back to traditional items. As long as I don't see other ridiculous abilities like Ultrahand, Ascend or vehicle/zonai device creation, I'm quite fine with the new abilities. But at least they can incluede 6 or 10 new abilities - which you can get in dungeons - next to the 3 or 4 base abilities at the beginning of the game to make it more progressive. These abilities would resemble some traditional items like the boomerang, grapping hook and hookshot but they'd still feel like magic abilities. Those abilities can be used for better overworld exploration.

Damn

Or,you can almost instant go and fight the final boss lmao.At least in BotW.No idea if you can do it in TotK the same.I mean the tutorial was by default longer in TotK

I still have no idea who thought that was a good idea being able to ignore the entire story.Or like in TotK,not having a fix order for the Zelda cutscenes.

Yes, you can directly go to the final boss in TotK as well. I really hate it because even completing the story just feels optional.

Bro, read some post TotK interviews and you see how obsessed Nintendo is with "muh restrictions = bad design" to the point they pull this crap. On the one hand, they claim "We no longer want to decide things for the player" and on the other hand, they act like WE WANT it like THAT lmao. Who tf even wished for non traditional dungeons?

It is one thing to claim Skyward Sword was way too linear and it's another thing to make another extreme and design the next game with virtually no restrictions. Like they don't know something inbetween...

Oh, they free everything of restrictions but then create one of the worst weapon durability systems with weapons so fragile, it's like you're playing a survival horror game. They basically force the player to keep switching weapons or replace them with newer ones. Isn't that a huge restriction? Let it be my choice whether I clear this game with a single sword, lance, claymore or just the master sword.
