One thing tho, kaido may have fought with whitebeard when they were in the same crew but if you mean as emperors then id have to say that didnt happen until after odens death and kaido got a good bit stronger. I mean the emperor system didnt exist back then and in his intro it does say he challenged navy/emperors, so im assuming it happens during the 20 years gap between odens death and now.

So do you think oden and kaido were about equal back then? Cause kaido was shown to be perfectly able to fight him in his human form during the castle incident when oden was bloodlusted about his wife getting shot.

No they weren't equal, Oden wrote that letter to his wife before his fight against Kaido since he himself wasn't sure that he can take down Kaido and even give instructions to Toki what to do if he gets defeated. In his letter he doesn't say about asking help from Whitbeard but instead says that "no one in their generation can defeat Kaido" it is also heavily foreshadowed by Oden that Luffy is the only one that can defeat him with all this prophecy.

Oden specifically said that those who can defeat Kaido will appear in new world after 20 years, all the supernovas entered new world 2 years ago except the strowhats, strowhats entered new world exactly 20 years after Oden's death which means he was talking about them and since Kaido has a crew I don't see all the strowhats attacking Kaido since they will against Kaido's crew, and if you think that Zoro will fight against Kaido then ok, I'm not going to debate about that here, not the right place or time but ether way the foreshadowing is clear.

So? They are just starting to arise now, as in the supernovas. Its the begining of their era. Do you really thing luffy and straw hats who are fodder to any commander will be enough to beat kaido? Who do you think will fight kaido if he is so strong?

Luffy will defeat Kiado and not because his that strong (even though his strength is going contribute to it heavily) but because he has some powers that allows him defeat Kaido.

That would be bad, like very very very very bad. Oden didnt rely on people to win, luffy does. Thats how he will win, it comes back to what mihawk said about him. Him/his alliance and supernovas will fight kaido. Thats the only way it makes sense. Luffy is nowhere near the level of doing what you suggest.

Kaido has Orochi and Big Mom on his said with their armys and of course Luffy's power to make frends will be important but I can't see all supernovas fighting against Kaido when there's also Big mom with at least two commanders.
