Remember how everyone was sure Oda was gonna use the seraphim fight to prove Zoro could have damaged flame mode King with AdvCoC… yeah well here we are

as of Chapter 1089, King is still the stupidest character in the series because once again, there is no proof anyone could have damaged him if he remained in Flame mode as none of the seraphims have been shown taking damage in Flame mode

It's best to think he can't keep it on forever while taking damage. So a constant amount of explictly strong damage dealt will force him to turn off his fire momentarily

This is unfortunately headcanon as it’s shown that flame mode is actually the base form of lunarians… so as far as we know, just their normal base form is literally invincible

Yeah that's why I said "while taking damage". Think of it like ManaShield of Medusa from Dota 2. You can keep it up all the time but as soon as you start taking damage, it's gonna deplete, and will need recharging

Sure but the other problem is that Vegapunk agreed with Zoro

Vegapunk the smartest man alive, who is smart enough to clone lunarians, listened to Luffy complaining about damaging lunarians, then listened to Zoro saying the only way of damaging them is flame off mode and HE AGREED

Vegapunk offered no alternative Zoro saying only flame off mode, can damage lunarians and that they have to WAIT FOR THEM TO WILLINGLY TURN IT OFF

And if you want to take the anime non canon filler as an example, in the anime it’s shown that vegaounk’s research on king was basically just damaging king nonstop as a kid… and yet his flame mode never depletes even as a kid under constant damage

The source of their defense is a fucking fire that is a biological part of their bodies, are people actually this dense? The reason they do not use it 100% of the time is absolutely going to be stamina related.

That more than explains why King switched to speed mode (could not stall Zoro forever) and why the Serpahim might in theory be stronger. Their stamina being enhanced due to being part cyborg/experiments in general being done on their bodies could explain this.

But even if they can just keep it up forever without it becoming draining, there are still ways to explain King not staying in flame mode 24/7, like for example, the fact he had no clue about how the situation was outside of his own fight against Zoro and whether or not he could be tagteamed if he tried to stall Zoro via his defense.

Because, and people tend to forget to mention this, Zoro could tag King while he was in his speed mode. Thus, the chances of King being able to put Zoro down while much slower via his ultimate defense still being on are near zero. In the meantime, all King could hope for is that Sanji, Marco, Law, Kid, Killer, and anyone else even vaguely capable of helping Zoro would get defeated by their opponent.

Flame On or Off, Zoro's AP/lethality is just that high. It doesn't matter if its the invincible Kaido or even tougher King, nobody is surviving Zoro's finisher.

The Seras were saved by plot, Luffy and Zoro got hit with the BM syndrome where they forgot to use ACoC.

Why did the VPs panic when Franky fired a laser at S-Shark and commented that the Seras had not been tested against lasers. Its because they are not completely invincible confirmed, VP and the rest are just speculating and are testing their theories.

Only King can know the limits of his body, a near 50 year old adult Lunarian who has been a pirate for most of his life and who has been experimented upon. If King deems that he cannot take Zoro's attacks like before then that is the answer for this stupid debate.
