I wouldn't give myself too much credit here, what Oda did with Jack did break my mind a bit.
1 billion berri man got less action dedicated to him than the flying six. He didn't even have any cool or unique moves. Jack's most unique move was hitting things with his trunk, and we saw that get countered 3 of the 5 times it was used. Thats a 60% fail rate. Just look at the other All Stars. King is descended from beings that were literally called gods, has a varied style for fighting thanks to his flames, can shoot magma dragons, and has whacky dinosaur attacks. Queen is a cyborg with whacky dinosaur abilities as well as the entire powerset of an evil super sentai team. How the hell is Jack remotely comparable!?!?! The man just has a fucking trunk, that has been blocked by every notable opponent he has come across. We spent an entire arc hyping up how dangerous Jack was, far more than any Calamity, and he contributed absolutely fuck all, and lost to the same opponents twice in a row. He literally got up from getting his ass handed to him by the mink dukes, just to get his ass handed to him by the mink dukes again and pretty much nothing else. Even Perospero felt like he had a more notable story impact than Jack, and Perospero was a guy who also didn't get any devoted on panels fights. At least he got the chance to actually show off some cool looking abilities. Jack didn't get anything.
Anyway, sorry, I get very heated and passionate about how Jack was a wasted opportunity and was kind of fumbled.

Marco was never clowned. He was beaten but he wasn’t clowned like BM etc.
And Marco was the co face of the Pay back war : something huge in the one piece world.
During the two years TS : 2 huge events : admirals duel / Pay back war.
And Marco losing is not a problem. But Marco was developed across those 800 chapters. His story evolved and changed. He has a real story and development.
Compared to other YC, Marco has the best and most development. And story wise the most relevant
And Marco was the co face of the Pay back war : something huge in the one piece world.
