He never came close to killing prime roger. Buggy said only Whitebeard can tie with Roger and Shiki correctly pointed out that Garp capturing Roger is bullshit.
And 2 years after marineford Akainu becomes fleet admiral and Garp didn´t even protest once. Stop buying his bluffs, he doesn´t care that Akainu killed Ace for more then 3 minutes. He cared more that Rocks was trying to save people from a genocide then the kid he threw at Dadan and said he doesnt know if he should be alive

Shiki was at God valley and he doesn´t believe in this fake ¨Hero of the marines¨ nonsense propaganda. He only cares about Roger just like everyone else in the rocks pirates. Kaido, Big mom, Shiki all dont hype Garp for some reason.

In the only flashback of Prime Rogers last voyage Oda only had him fight his canon equal: Whitebeard. Oda doesnt care about Rogers rivalry with his daycare man

Unlike others, Admiral fans have standards first and foremost, we do not force trash characters onto the fandom
That also includes someone like Coby, bang for buck he's the most reasonable character "agenda" wise to stan, since he's the only character of the new era that aspires to be an Admiral, and is guaranteed to quarrel with Luffy.
But you'll never see the Admiral fandom stan that trash. This might be difficult to understand for people who slurp every cranny of pitiful agenda. Instead, you'll see them support Smoker, whom the entire fandom seems to have abandoned, because Smoker is awesome.

I enjoy aspects of his character. I can respect the rock & hard place he's wedged between in Marineford, where he had to choose between family vs what he perceives as justice, and that, not letting sentimentality and passions come over him he, with great pain of heart chose the latter
Garp is not a Hero, tho. He won't work "directly" beneath the CDs, he'll just work directly beneath those that do and pat himself on the back for it. Oh and he will actually work beneath the CDs and even side with pirates if the Holy Land is under attack lol...
Argue one may that he is a "better person" than Akainu or Ryokugyu, theres nothing admirable about slightly-less of a CD-dog Garp and his fake title

Admirals fans try so hard to push current Garp is fodder to Current Admiral. When he literally ragdolled kuzan.

If he used those same shit he used on Kuzan then he was never near equal to Roger because he did jackshit to a restricted kuzan. No needed to exert any more on Garp because whatever Garp was dishing out on Aokiji never made him vulnerable at all.

You’re throwing full headcanon , he never disabled anything , kuzan never even tried to use his DF to an extent because he didn’t need too if he did the whole beehive would’ve been even more of a mess than it already is, we seen at the end what happens when kuzan actually uses his ice and you get a Garp with a massive iceberg through his chest whilst Kuzan is memorizing his history with Garp/being confused n sad over what he just had to do
Shanks also never canceled our Greens ability , that’s headcanon , Green went back to base on his own will, he went back to that to show that he didn’t want to fight .
