Speculations Oda basically confirmed Shiryu as Zoros final opponent

When oda said that One Piece would end in 5 years he also said that it was because Luffy would find the treasure and One Piece as we know it, the journey for the greatest treasure, would end.

He's just reinforcing this, in 3 years Luffy should find One Piece, the final war is after that as we already know from Newgate's final speech.

Fight someone that gets stomped by Ace/Sabo or fight someone that gets stomped by Magellan/Shiryu? I feel like there's a pattern in here that I'm not seeing.
The only ones that Magellan didn't fight are Devon, Sanjuan Wolf, Pizzaro and Vasco Shot. Maybe they wouldn't get oneshotted or maybe they would, like you said, a YC2/3 was terrified of a mere warden and Magellan and Shiryu were supposed to be able to stop everyone by themselves.

Yeah, i believe Shiryu and Magellan were the strongest characters in ID capable of handling every prisoner.
Trying to shit on shiryu is really a bad idea but what can we do?

Magellan is the Warden of the prison with multiple extremely strong & relevant characters imprisoned under his responsibility.
Ivankov (Sanji's mentor btw), Jinbe, Crocodile (look at what he did in Marineford) were all running from Magellan scared to take him on in a 4v1 (with Luffy) even when they had knowledge. They won't do it to against someone weak once they have a bit of knowledge about the DF.
Ivankov got thrashed by Magellan even when he tried to stall him.

Magellan (& consequently Shiryu) are by no means weak.

Not weak honestly I think he and pre DF shiryu are stronger than any yonko commander we’ve met, but I think him soloing the BB Pirates is purely because they didn’t know his power was poison.

Like with knowledge i think Yami teach would solo Magellan tho

I don't think the old Gorosei are fighters, I don't think Zoro will fight an admiral, it's probably going to be Kid/Law and revolutionaries... and I don't think he's going to surpass Yonko's level... just like Ray doesn't overcome either . I am realistic.

This basically confirms blackbeard is the final villain, making shiryu zoros final opponent. This also means that sanjis final opponent will be the next strongest commander from blackbeard pirates.

I agree about Magellan and BB.
I never said that Shiryu or Magellan would beat a serious BB but shiryu was released in order to deal with a man(and his crew) that he was confirmed stronger than Ace. From that perspective alone we can easily tell that Shiryu was a YC1 + character. I believe more but that's just me.
Now let's talk about iva, a YC2 character that lost to Magellan and Magellan only had minor injuries. Iva was the one that put Magellan and shiryu in the same level, while he knew about Magellan's powers.
Now you have people like jinbe crocodile and all ID to run away from Magellan without the slightest thought in their minds, we are x amount of people here, let's beat him up.
Again Magellan's df plays a huge role to his feats but shiryu was his equal with just a sword and in my point of view shiryu would consider more dangerous and a higher level fighter.
Now you tell me how can people shit on shiryu like: Zoro's opponent from Bbp will be just shiryu, when shiryu have more hype than every other crew member, even how him and BB meet and spoke about eachother separate him from the rest.
I mean, People can shit on Shiryu but if you want to be objective and shit on Shiryu, you must diarrhea the rest of the bbp minus BB ofc .
