Agreed. I feel like Luffy asking Bonney "What's a Neeka?" (whatever it was spelled as) is a setup for him learning what it is about and more importantly rejecting the idea of being the "sun god".

It could be interesting to see him reject the power-up and/or prove that the belief around Nika/Joyboy doesn't make him any less Luffy than he was before awakening.

This is a good opportunity to do some character developement imho.
