Finally, readers are realizing that Marineford is when the things started to go wrong in One Piece.

While everybody loved Marineford, I did not. I don't hate it as much as post TS arcs, but MF was something that gave confidence to Oda. Confidence that he can hold back his characters, not make them go all out, offscreen fights, cut off fights for some stupid reasons (Mihawk vs Vista, Garp vs Akainu, making WB sick to the point he could not even fight). And so on.

Back when I was crazy for One Piece and watching Drizzit livestream.
I said Oda has made One Piece like an ever growing tree, there are countless branches and leaves, but fruits are not in equal propotion.
OP has become like a weed in wild, that keeps on growing, while it has some benefits, but it is not as good as a mango tree which gives sweet and delicious fruits once a year.

I don't want to get into this again (One Piece rants). I have been reading OP since 2012 or 2014, dont remember exactly.
I think now I have right to say what I feel about the One Piece story as a whole.
Thriller bark is where everything went haywire. Last great arc in my opinion is Water 7/Enies Lobby. Still to this day Luffy vs Luffy is best fight in my opinion.

The bottom line is, is that one piece isn't a logical story, in order to enjoy one piece one must take his brains out, put it in a box and throw it into the river. Otherwise you'll asking too many questions to which there will be no answers, and sometimes the answer Oda gives are worse than his mysteries

Again, stupid argument. Just because he didn't do shit doesn't mean he didn't tell the entire history of the world to someone, he was literally ready to spill the beans to the strowhats but Luffy rejected it. The same WG wanted to Kill Ace so much (even though he posed no threat to them) that they were willing to go to war with WB for that. They were trembling under the shadow of an unborn child, trying to find his mother to kill them together, but Rayleigh who could have been telling WG secrets to god knows whom is no threat to them, when they were willing to genocide the entire Ohara for it, they killed Vegapank for it. And I'm telling this in their prospective, because they don't know what we know, the only reason Rayleigh remind there is because Oda needed him to train Luffy, otherwise he should have died in Marinford with Whitbeard trying to save Ace.

It's really ridiculous when you think about.

They were willing to risk a World War just to kill the son of Roger, who hadn't even done anything yet.

They eliminated an entire island (Ohara) for simply researching the ponegliffs.

They were going full scorched earth on Vegapunk/Egghead, when he himself didn't even know half the story.

Yet Rayleigh, who actually knows the FULL story (is even willing to tell it like we've seen), is allowed to chill his nuts on Sabaody as their neighbor for decades.

:milaugh:

Roger was also willing to tell Whitebeard how to get to Laughtale, and told him what the name D means, why didn't they send an admiral after Whitebeard before marineford happened?

Oda gave up on logic long ago he is simply writing to cash in on money once that ends he will end the story . Either his health will give in or they will run out of material to continue any story .
I am mostly sticking to it because of my childhood dreams I have quit the series many times but I wanted to see the ending .
After Netflix took over he's been pretty disrespectful to his audience ngl and before someone says it there are tons of people that spend a shit ton of money on OP in general.

Ya Netflix is the biggest cash cow for him now . You can see quality dropped when LA was announced he just simply no longer cares . Oda knows he has hardcore fan base who will buy his story even though it’s really bad .
